SPECIAL: Wellandport church of Christ is hosting a special series Thursday-Sunday, July 7-10 at 7:00 each evening. Sunday at 10:00 & 11:00. Evening lessons are: Does God Exist, Why Does God Allow Evil?, How Do I Connect With God? The speaker is Ken Weliever from Beverly Hills, Florida.

MEN: Do we try to have a men's day later this year? Open to suggestions as to when, topic & speaker. October was suggested as a possible month at our last elders & deacons meeting.

BBQ: Harold & Eva are planning a BBQ. The date is yet to be finalized.

CALLING ALL CARPENTERS: New pavement has been poured outside Mary Conway's apartment (Mary uses our pantry.) The new pavement changes the height of what her ramp should be. Could a carpenter or 2 make a new ramp? Dimensions are approximately 7 3/4 inches high by 3 1/2 feet wide and 5 feet long. Charlene is quite certain Mary will pay for materials. If you can help, talk with Charlene.

A PRAYER FOR FREEDOM

I told God I was angry. I thought He'd be surprised.

I thought I'd kept hostility quite cleverly disguised.

I told the Lord I hated Him. I told Him that I hurt.

I told Him that He isn't fair, He's treated me like dirt.

I told God I was angry, but I'm the one surprised.

"What I've known all along." He said, "you've finally realized.

At last you have admitted what's really in your heart.

Dishonesty, not anger, was keeping us apart.

Even when you hate Me, I don't stop loving you.

Before you can receive that love, you must confess what's true.

In telling Me the anger you genuinely feel,

It loses power over you, permitting you to heal."

I told God I was angry and He's forgiven me.

The truth that I was angry has finally set me free.
