  • Share: Being Intentional with the Spiritually Dead and Spiritual Infants

    Team Goals:
    Each group member know how to share with the spiritually dead.
    Members will challenged to practice sharing their own lives with others.
    Members will practice sharing the gospel and biblical truth with others.
    Members will equipped to share new spiritual habits with others

    Warm-Ups: Welcome, Sharing, and Shepherding (15 minutes)

    Prayer . When you share with spiritually dead people, they might disagree with your answers to their questions, but they cannot disagree with what God has done in your life. Share your testimony with group.

    Vision Casting and Review (10 Minutes)

    The focus of this week was on what the disciple-maker does at each stage of growth- the reproducible process. Read 1 Peter 3:15 aloud and summarize the three directions Peter gives us.
    1 Peter 3:15 NKJV
    15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;

    Coaching and Practice (45 minutes)

    What do the spiritually dead need?
    What do you think are the top three questions unbelievers struggle to understand?
    What are biblical answers to those questions?
    Pair members of your small group and role-play sharing the gospel with one another.
    Sharing the gospel is only the beginning. We share with spiritual infants by opening our lives to them. Review Jesus’ example of sharing His life (see Luke 5:27-32;7:36-50,11:38-42) from day 3. Share your observation of what Jesus did as an intentional leader that could be considered sharing His life with disciples.
    Explain how you can assess a spiritual infant’s needs in the areas of the Bible, prayer, and fellowship.
    Share the Bible-reading plan you developed on day 5 and discuss whether or not it would be a successful plan for a spiritual infant.
    What reasons does the writer of Hebrews give for regular church attendance?

    Share the three things you want to improve in order to better disciples a spiritual infant.
    Throughout this training manual, we have given you tools and challenges to not only make disciples but be a disciple. Where do you want to improve in your walk with Christ?
    Close your meeting by praying for one another according to what was shared in the responses above.
