Loose them and bring them to Me. And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord has need of them,’ and immediately he will send them.” All this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying: “Tell the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your King is coming to you, Lowly, and sitting on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.’ ” So the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them. They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and set Him on them. And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road. They seek to now kill both Lazarus and Jesus.John 12:9-19It’s passover season and thousands gather to celebrate the day that death passed over Israel. Little did they know that this year they would witness the true passover lamb. But, Jesus did. He is entering a city not with fanfare on his mind but most likely with sacrifice and stress.While the crowd rejoices with excitement for the one who raises men from the dead, He is faced with the reality of his impending death. Jesus is not just headed into Jerusalem. He is headed toward the cross.So many emotionsA. With Our LimbsThe primary Hebrew word for praise by extending the hands is Yadah (יָדָה), worship, revere, or give thanks particularly with raised or extended hands .Comes from the root word for "hand" (yad𝑦𝑎𝑑), it represents an active, outward posture of surrender, agreement, or celebration.Definition: It Means to hold out or throw the hands forward, indicating adoration or confession.Like they lifted their leaves we lifted our hands today.Psalm 63:4 (Yadah/Lifestyle): "So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands (yadah) in Your name".Psalm 63:4 NKJV Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.III.
