*Call to Worship

Psalm 27:1-6

The Lord is my light and salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble and fall.

Though and army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident.

One thing I have asked of the Lord, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.

For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the over of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock.

All: And now my head shall be lifted up above all my enemies, all around me, and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the Lord.

*Songs of Praise

All the People Said Amen

You are not alone if you are lonely

When you feel afraid you're not the only

We are all the same in need of mercy

To be forgiven and be free

It's all you got to lean on

But thank God it's all you need

And all the people said amen whoa

And all the people said amen

Give thanks to the Lord for His love never ends

And all the people said amen

If you're rich or poor well it don't matter

Weak or strong you know love is what we're after

We're all broken but we're all in this together

God knows we stumble and fall

And He so loved the world

He sent His son to save us all

Blessed are the poor in spirit who are torn apart

Blessed are the persecuted and the pure in heart

Blessed are the people hungry for another start

For theirs is the kingdom the kingdom of God

10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)

Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul,

Worship His holy name.

Sing like never before, Oh my soul

I'll worship Your holy name.

The sun comes up, it's a new day dawning;

It's time to sing Your song again.

Whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me,

Let me be singing when the evening comes.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul,

Worship His holy name.

Sing like never before, Oh my soul

I'll worship Your holy name.

You're rich in love, and You're slow to anger.

Your name is great, and Your heart is kind.

For all Your goodness, I will keep on singing;

Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul,

Worship His holy name.

Sing like never before, Oh my soul,

I'll worship Your holy name.

And on that day when my strength is failing,

The end draws near, and my time has come;

Still my soul will sing Your praise unending:

Ten thousand years and then forevermore!

Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul,

Worship His holy name.

Sing like never before, Oh my soul,

I'll worship Your holy name,

I'll worship Your holy name,

I'll worship Your holy name.

Pastoral Prayer and the Cadet Prayer

Cadet Prayer

O God, our Father, Thou Searcher of human hearts, help us to draw near to thee in sincerity and truth. May our religion be filled with gladness and may our worship of thee be natural.

Strengthen and increase our admiration for honest dealing and clean thinking, and suffer not our hatred of hypocrisy and pretence ever to diminish. Encourage us in our endeavor to live above the common level of life. Make us to choose the harder right instead of the easier wrong, and never to be content with a half-truth when the whole can be won.

Endow us with courage that is born of loyalty to all that is noble and worthy, that scorns to compromise with vice and injustice and knows no fear when truth and right are in jeopardy.

Guard us against flippancy and irreverence in the sacred things of life. Grant us new ties of friendship and new opportunities of service. Kindle our hearts in fellowship with those of a cheerful countenance, and soften our hearts with sympathy for those who sorrow and suffer.

Help us to maintain the honor of the Corps untarnished and unsullied and to show forth in our lives the ideals of West Point in doing our duty to Thee and to our Country.

All of which we ask in the name of the Great Friend and Master of all (Jesus Christ, our Lord). Amen.
