Prelude

“How Beautiful for Spacious Skies” Emma Lou Diemer

*Call to Worship

The Apostle’s Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to hell.

The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended to heaven

and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.

From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church,

the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

*Processional Hymn of Worship

#419 “God of Our Fathers"

Greeting One Another

"By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” - John 13:35

*Songs of Praise

Come, Now Is the Time to Worship

Come now is the time to worship

Come now is the time to give your heart

Come just as you are to worship

Come just as you are before your God Come

One day every tongue Will confess You are God

One day every knee will bow

Still the greatest treasure remains

For those who gladly choose You now

Come now is the time to worship

Come now is the time to give your heart

Come just as you are to worship

Come just as you are before your God Come

Willingly we choose to surrender our lives

Willingly our knees will bow

With all our heart soul mind and strength

We gladly choose You now

Come now is the time to worship

Come now is the time to give your heart

Come just as you are to worship

Come just as you are before your God Come

Christ, Be Magnified

Were creation suddenly articulate

With a thousand tongues to lift one cry

Then from north to south and east to west

We'd hear Christ be magnified

Were the whole earth echoing His eminence

His name would burst from sea and sky

From rivers to the mountain tops

We'd hear Christ be magnified

O Christ be magnified Let His praise arise

Christ be magnified in me

O Christ be magnified From the altar of my life

Christ be magnified in me

When ev'ry creature finds its inmost melody

And ev'ry human heart its native cry

O then in one enraptured hymn of praise

We'll sing Christ be magnified

I won't bow to idols I'll stand strong and worship You

And if it puts me in the fire

I'll rejoice 'cause You're there too

I won't be formed by feelings I hold fast to what is true

If the cross brings transformation Then I'll be crucified with You

(You can hang me there with You)

'Cause death is just the doorway Into resurrection life

If I join You in Your suff'rings Then I'll join You when You rise

And when You return in glory With all the angels and the saints

My heart will still be singing My song will be the same

O Christ be magnified Let His praise arise

Christ be magnified in me

O Christ be magnified From the altar of my life

Christ be magnified in me

Good Good Father

I've heard a thousand stories Of what they think You’re like

But I've heard the tender whisper Of love in the dead of night

You tell me that You’re pleased And that I'm never alone

You're a Good Good Father It's who You are

It's who You are It's who You are

And I'm loved by You It's who I am

It's who I am It's who I am

I've seen many searching for answers Far and wide

But I know we're all searching for answers Only You provide

Because You know just what we need Before we say a word

You're a Good Good Father It's who You are

It's who You are It's who You are

And I'm loved by You It's who I am

It's who I am It's who I am

You are perfect in all of Your ways

You are perfect in all of Your ways

You are perfect in all of Your ways to us

Love so undeniable I can hardly speak

Peace so unexplainable I can hardly think

As You call me deeper still As You call me deeper still

As You call me deeper still Into love love love

You're a Good Good Father It's who You are

It's who You are It's who You are

And I'm loved by You It's who I am

It's who I am It's who I am

(Our Sermon Series)

Congregational Prayer & The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name,

thy kingdom come, thy will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread,

and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, and the power,

and the glory, forever. Amen.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow;

Praise Him all creatures here below;

Praise Him above, ye heavenly host: Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

Our fathers’ God, to Thee, Author of liberty, to Thee we sing:

Long may our land be bright with freedom’s holy light;

Protect us by Thy might – great God, our King.
