- Super Dads Stand Out Through Integrity
Daniel 6:3 NKJV 3 Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.Psalm 78:72 NKJV 72 So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, And guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.Integrity: Being the man God called you to be regardless of who is watching, and when it costs you.Integrity is the superpower that makes ordinary men extraordinary.Superman’s X-ray vision —He sees through walls.Integrity is X-ray vision for a Man of God —it reveals what’s inside a man. A man of integrity doesn’t need applause, a platform, or a spotlight. His strength is internal.Integrity is not perfection — it’s consistency.Integrity is choosing obedience over convenience.Integrity is doing the right thing even when it costs you.A father’s integrity becomes his children’s inheritance.Super Dads Stand Out by Sharing Their StoryLeading and teaching by example — successes and failures.Psalm 78:4 NKJV 4 We will not hide them from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.Moses wrote of his disobedience. Would you tell that story?Your story — the victories and the scars — is the curriculum your children need.Kids don’t need perfect dads; they need present dads.Share your wins: “Here’s what God taught me when I obeyed.”Share your losses: “Here’s what I learned when I didn’t.”Vulnerability builds trust; honesty builds legacy.Super Dads Stand Out through Their ConvictionThe world tries to shrink fathers, shame them, and strip them of spiritual confidence — but God raises warriors.1 Timothy 2:8 NKJV 8 I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting;Samson vs. DelilahSamson wasn’t defeated by strength; he was defeated by surrendering his identity. The world today tries to “cut the hair” of fathers — not literally, but spiritually — by convincing them they are:UnqualifiedUnneededProblematicToo broken to leadBut God says: “You are chosen. You are called. You are equipped.”Culture often portrays fathers as foolish, passive, or unnecessary. Many men have been conditioned to believe they are “the problem,” not part of God’s solution.Shame weakens conviction; grace strengthens it.The Enemy attacks identity because identity determines destiny.God is raising fathers who fight spiritually, love sacrificially, and lead courageously.Challenge:Reject the lie that you are disqualified — God uses imperfect men.Lift holy hands — not perfect hands — in prayer, surrender, and spiritual authority.Fight for your family in prayer, purity, and perseverance.Stand firm in who God says you are, not who culture says you are.Mini-Call to Men: Rise as Warriors“A warrior isn’t someone who never gets knocked down — it’s someone who refuses to stay down.”Warriors pray.Warriors protect.Warriors pursue God.Warriors stand when others sit.Warriors lift holy hands even when they feel unworthy.Super Dads Stand Out When the Church Stands With ThemHebrews 10:24 NKJV 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,A man becomes stronger when the people around him speak life into him.Every superhero has a team —Superman had the Justice LeagueIron Man had the AvengersNo man becomes great alone.Challenge:Wives: Speak life, not labels.Children: Honor your father’s effort, not just his results.Church family: Pray for the men, encourage them, call out their gifts.Congregation:Men thrive when they are supported, not scrutinized.Pray for the men in your life daily.Encourage them when they lead well.Support them when they struggle.Celebrate their growth, not their perfection. - Hindrances
Isaiah 29:13 CSB 13 The Lord said: These people approach me with their speeches to honor me with lip-service, yet their hearts are far from me, and human rules direct their worship of me.Today, my prayer is that we would allow the Holy Spirit to reveal the hindrances in our lives from having a heart of worship. Is He worthy of your worship? Is He worthy?__Quickly: Let’s define worship“Worship is your heart’s response to what you value most” - Louie Giglio (The Heart of Worship)Now we understand what worship is: What hinders it?I. Sin - Isaiah 59:2Isaiah 59:2 NKJV 2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear. This is a hindrance to our worship, relationship, and experience in God.II. Distractions - Genesis 13:10Genesis 13:10 NKJV 10 And Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere (before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar. Before Lot sinned against God, the Bible says he lifted his eyes toward the plain of Jordan and v12 tells us he pitched his tent toward Sodom.Distractions take our eyes of God which causes our heart to begin valuing other things instead of God.III. Lack of Spiritual Discipline - 1 Timothy 4:7-81 Timothy 4:7–8 NIV 7 Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. 8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.Spiritual disciplines include consistent times of prayer, personal times of Bible reading and worship. Attending gatherings on Sunday and Wednesday is a sacrifice, but re-aligns the heart to see God as He is.IV. Unresolved Conflict - Matthew 5:23-24Matthew 5:23–24 NKJV 23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.Conflict is inevitable in any family, movement, or organization. When this happens, we must follow what Jesus outlined. Prioritize reconciliation with your brother and sister in Christ. This is because unresolved conflict places our attention on hurts and division, rather than on God. This one is sneaky because we feel justified in our frustration, not realizing that all the while, it is hindering our worship.Prerequisites to WorshipI. Surrender to God as the Author and SupremacyIsaiah 64:8 NKJV 8 But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand. This analogy is used by the Prophet to showcase the Creator and His created.Isaiah 29:16 NIV 16 You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay! Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, “You did not make me”? Can the pot say to the potter, “You know nothing”?Every created thing has an author. It does not bother us when created things align with our will, but what about when it doesn’t.Many have problems with God being supreme, because they want to know who they can go to when they don’t agree. GOD HAS NO SUPERVISOR.Isaiah 55:9 NKJV 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.Your worship is hindered when you set your will against God, because you begin to value yourself as the supreme authority over God.Romans 12:1 NKJV 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.II. Align Your Life to His Word, His Will, and His WayRomans 12:2 NKJV 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.Alignment sets God as the focal point and only allows the things that point to Him.His Word as our Light, His Will as our Command, and His Way as our Roadmap!III. Enjoy Him and His CreationPsalm 37:4 NKJV 4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.John 10:10 NKJV 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.1 Timothy 6:17 NKJV 17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. There should not be any cranky Christians.Grumpiness destroys worship! Worship, from a grateful heart, flourishes.ApplicationThe devil cannot take your worship! Only you can give it up, give it away, or keep it for yourself.God will do miracles and wonders through a people who are properly surrendered, aligned, and fulfilled.Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what is hindering your worship.Sin?Distractions?A lack of discipline?Unresolved Conflict?Unforgiveness?Just surrender these things to Him.You can’t fix these things - you can only surrender them, and allow God to fix them. If there are things that need to be made right with others, God works in you before you can resolve it with others.Communion is an ordinance Jesus set to bring us back to Him. The Bible warns of taking communion in an unworthy manner, but does not tell you to go away -Communion is not about being worthy or being rejected. As you surrender the things the Holy Spirit has revealed, know that Jesus wants communion with you. He wants to stay in relationshipIsaiah 1:18 NKJV 18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.Jesus wants you as you are - and He will bring transformation as you surrender.1 Corinthians 11:23–26 NKJV 23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.BenedictionEphesians 3:17–21 NKJV 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.Be blessed!
