*Psalm 30
Leader: I will extol you, O Lord, for you have drawn me up and have not let my foes rejoice over me.
All: O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me.
Leader: O Lord, you have brought up my soul from Sheol; you restored me to life from among those who go down to the pit.
All: Sing praises to the Lord, O you his saints, and give thanks to his holy name.
Leader: For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the Night, but joy comes with the morning.
All: As for me, I said in my prosperity, “I shall never be moved.”
Leader: By your favor, O Lord, you made my mountain stand strong; you hid your face; I was dismayed.
All: To you, O Lord, I cry, and to the Lord I plead for mercy:
Leader: “What profit is there in my death, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it tell of your faithfulness?
All: Hear, O Lord, and be merciful to me! O Lord, be my helper!”
Leader: You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,
All: That my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!
*Hymn of Preparation – Hymn #32
“Great Is Thy Faithfulness”
Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
there is no shadow of turning with thee;
thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not;
as thou hast been thou forever wilt be.
Refrain:
Great is thy faithfulness!
Great is thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see:
all I have needed thy hand hath provided -
Great is thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
sun, moon, and stars in their courses above,
join with all nature in manifold witness
to thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love. [Refrain]
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide,
strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside! [Refrain]

Invocation
Congregational Confession of Sin
Leader: Gracious God, we confess that we have longed too much for the comforts of this world. We have loved the gifts more than the giver.
All: In your mercy, help us to see that all the things we pine for are shadows, but you are substance; that they are quicksands, but you are mountain; that they are shifting, but you are anchor.
Leader: We plead your forgiveness on the merits of Jesus Christ.
All: Accept his worthiness for our unworthiness, his sinlessness for our transgressions, his fullness for our emptiness, his glory for our shame, his righteousness for our dead works, his death for our life.
Leader: We pray in Jesus’s name. Amen
Private Confession of Sin
Assurance of Forgiveness
“In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” 1 John 4:9-11

“For the Beauty of the Earth”
For the beauty of the earth,
for the glory of the skies,
for the love which from our birth
over and around us lies,
Refrain:
Lord of all, to thee we raise
this our hymn of grateful praise.
For the beauty of each hour
of the day and of the night,
hill and vale, and tree and flow'r,
sun and moon and stars of light, [Refrain]
For the joy of ear and eye,
for the heart and mind's delight,
for the mystic harmony
linking sense to sound and sight, [Refrain]
For the joy of human love,
brother, sister, parent, child,
friends on earth and friends above,
for all gentle thoughts and mild, [Refrain]
For each perfect gift of thine
to our race so freely giv'n,
graces human and divine,
flow'rs of earth and buds of heav'n, [Refrain]
*Confession of Faith The Westminster Shorter Catechism
Q. 96: What is the Lord’s Supper?
A. The Lord’s Supper is a sacrament, wherein, by giving and receiving bread and wine, according to Christ’s appointment, his death is showed forth; and the worthy receivers are, not after a corporal and carnal manner, but by faith, made partakers of his body and blood, with all his benefits, to their spiritual nourishment, and growth in grace.
Q. 97: What is required for the worthy receiving of the Lord’s Supper?
A. It is required of them that would worthily partake of the Lord’s Supper, that they examine themselves of their knowledge to discern the Lord’s body, of their faith to feed upon him, of their repentance, love, and new obedience; lest, coming unworthily, they eat and drink judgment to themselves.

Special Music – “Bless This House” Eric Wolf, Soloist
Bless This House
Bless this house, O Lord we pray
Make it safe by night and day
Bless these walls so firm and stout
Keeping want and trouble out
Bless the roof and chimneys tall
Let thy peace lie overall
Bless this door that it may prove
Ever open
To joy and love
Bless these windows shining bright
Letting in God's Heavenly light
Bless the hearth, ablazing there
With smoke ascending like a prayer!
Bless the people here within'
Keep them pure and free from sin
Bless us all that we may be
Fit O Lord to dwell with thee
Bless us all that one day we may dwell
O Lord! With Thee!
With Thee

*Congregational Response – Hymn #44
“How Great Thou Art”
O Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder
consider all the worlds Thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed;
Refrain:
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee
How great thou art! How great thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Savior-God, to Thee
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!
When through the woods, and forest glades I wander,
and hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;
when I look down from lofty mountain grandeur
and hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze; [Refrain]
And when I think that God, His Son not sparing,
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in,
that on the cross, my burden gladly bearing
he bled and died to take away my sin; [Refrain]
When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
and take me home, what joy shall fill my heart!
Then I shall bow in humble adoration
and there proclaim: "My God, how great thou art!" [Refrain]
