Rev 3:6 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches:
Psalm 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. … 4 He will cover you with his feathers, you will take refuge under his wings. His faithfulness will be a protective shield.
Praise the Lord
Philippians 4:4-9
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me--practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
To the one who spread out the heavens, we have heard your prescription for our lives. We have heard your Gospel, yet Father, we are filled with shame. You tell us to rejoice always, to not be anxious, and to pray unceasingly. We have not lived up to this calling. We have looked at the world with the eyes of the world. We have allowed darkness to distract us from the light. Oh, Father, on account of Christ, respond to our weaknesses with your grace. Preview to us your glory, beauty, and power. Open the eyes of our hearts to know our calling in Christ. Grant us the divine peace of Christ that quiets the storm and drives out all fear and darkness. Allow us again this morning to approach your throne of grace to receive mercy, grace, and help in our time of need.
1 John 2:1 “My brothers and sisters, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.”
Therefore,
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
In Christ Alone
In Christ Alone
Verse 1
In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light my strength my song
This Cornerstone this solid Ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love what depths of peace
When fears are stilled when strivings cease
My Comforter my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand
Verse 2
In Christ alone who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live
Verse 3
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
Verse 4
No guilt in life no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand

Exo 1:8--10a
A new king, who did not know about Joseph, came to power in Egypt. He said to his people, “Look, the Israelite people are more numerous and powerful than we are. Come, let’s deal shrewdly with them”
Exodus 1: 17
The midwives, however, feared God and did not do as the king of Egypt had told them; they let the boys live. ... 20 So God was good to the midwives
Daniel 6:6-7, 9-10
Then these high officials and satraps came by agreement to the king and said to him, “O King Darius, live forever! All the high officials of the kingdom, the prefects and the satraps, the counselors and the governors are agreed that the king should establish an ordinance and enforce an injunction, that whoever makes petition to any god or man for thirty days, except to you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions.
... Therefore King Darius signed the document and injunction. When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously.
Luke 2:25-28
There was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. This man was righteous and devout, looking forward to Israel’s consolation, and the Holy Spirit was on him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he saw the Lord’s Messiah. Guided by the Spirit, he entered the temple. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to perform for him what was customary under the law, Simeon took him up in his arms, praised God, and said, Now, Master, you can dismiss your servant in peace, as you promised. For my eyes have seen your salvation.
John 12: 12-19
The next day, when the large crowd that had come to the festival heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, they took palm branches and went out to meet him. They kept shouting: “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord—the King of Israel!” Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, just as it is written: Do not be afraid, Daughter Zion. Look, your King is coming, sitting on a donkey’s colt. His disciples did not understand these things at first. However, when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things had been written about him and that they had done these things to him. Meanwhile, the crowd, which had been with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, continued to testify. This is also why the crowd met him, because they heard he had done this sign. Then the Pharisees said to one another, “You see? You’ve accomplished nothing. Look, the world has gone after him!”
Luke 19:41-42
As he approached and saw the city, he wept for it, saying, “If you knew this day what would bring peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes.
What is your only comfort in life and in death?
That I, with body and soul, both in life and death,
am not my own,
but belong unto my faithful Savior Jesus Christ,
who with his precious blood has fully satisfied for all my sins,
and delivered me from all the power of the devil,
and so preserves me
that without the will of my heavenly Father
not a hair can fall from my head;
indeed, that everything must fit his purpose for my salvation,
therefore by his Holy Spirit he also assures me of eternal life
and makes me heartily willing and ready, always,
to live for him.
Holy, Holy, Holy!
2 Thess 2:16-17 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.
