Prelude Gather Us In Marty Haugen/John Behnke
Welcome and Announcements
Opening Prayer & Gathering #391 Take My Life, vs. 1
Take my life, and let it be Consecrated, Lord, to Thee.
Take my moments and my days; Let them flow in ceaseless praise,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.
Call to Worship (from Ps. 97:12; 145:1,3)
Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous,
And give thanks to God’s holy name!
I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever.
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; God’s greatness is unsearchable.
Opening Hymn #2236 Gather Us In
(Please remain standing through the Gloria Patri)
Call to Confession
The proof of God’s amazing love is this: while we were sinners, Christ died for us. Because we have faith in him, we dare to approach God with confidence. In faith and penitence let us confess our sin before God and one another.
Prayer of Confession
Oh God, you have shown us the way of life through your Son, Jesus Christ. We confess with shame our slowness to learn of him, our failure to follow him, and our reluctance to bear the cross. We confess the poverty of our worship, our neglect of fellowship and of the means of grace, our hesitating witness for Christ, our evasion of responsibilities in our service to you, our imperfect stewardship, and our tendency to try to tame you to serve our own needs and desires. Have mercy on us, oh Lord, and forgive us.
Assurance of Forgiveness and Exchange of Peace (Romans 5:1-2)
Since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand; and we boast in our hope of sharing the glory of God.
May the peace of Christ be with you; And also with you.
Please exchange the peace of Christ with your neighbors.
Gloria Patri
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.
Sermon for Faith Builders Children are invited to go to Children’s Worship with our Children’s Ministry Coordinator, Ms. Marisa. They will return during the final hymn.

Affirmation of Faith - The Apostles’ Creed (Traditional)
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth,
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
