The most crucial discipline is BIBLE INTAKE

We need both BREADTH and DEPTH in our Bible Intake.

For breadth, we can LISTEN
Romans 10:17 “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”
1 Timothy 4:13 “13 Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching.”
For breadth, we can LISTEN and READ.
Matthew 4:4 “But he answered, “It is written, “ ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ”
2 Timothy 3:16–17 “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
Revelation 1:3 “Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.”
For depth, we can STUDY,
2 Timothy 4:13 “When you come, bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas, also the books, and above all the parchments.”
For depth, we can STUDY, MEMORIZE,
Psalm 119:11 “I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.”
Colossians 3:1–3 “If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.”

For depth, we can STUDY, MEMORIZE, MEDITATE,
Joshua 1:8 “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

James 1:22–25 “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like.
