*CALL TO WORSHIP                               Jenny Sue LeSchander, Lector

O Lord, satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love,

so that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,

and prosper for us the work of our hands.

CALL TO CONFESSION

PRAYER OF CONFESSION

O Lord, you are the maker of justice

   and the source of righteousness,

   the one who hears the cries of the suffering

   and who fills the hunger of the poor.

Forgive us, O God, when we fail to reflect your just love:

   when we have food and food leftover,

   yet we do not share with any in need;

   when we have power for good and power for change,

   yet we use it only for our own self-preservation;

   when we have the words of the prophets before us,

   yet we cover our ears lest they make us uncomfortable.

Forgive us, O Lord,

   and teach us to follow in your way.

ASSURANCE OF GOD’S GRACE

Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. GODLY PLAY   The Great Family: We continue to seek the elusive presence of God. God was present at creation, blessing all that was made. Noah walked with God and was led by God’s presence to build the ark that preserved life. Now Abraham and Sarah discover that God is present everywhere, putting their lives on the line to test the promises of God.

The Godly Play room will open at 10:15am for songs and memory verse time, with the lesson starting at 10:35am. Students will be brought back to the service for the last hymn.

WINTER COAT DRIVE: We are partnering with the Interfaith Coalition to collect winter coats, hats, gloves, and scarves. Please donate new or nearly new outerwear. Durable raincoats and down jackets are excellent choices. Gently used items should be freshly laundered. We will have a designated space by the coat rack for donations. Many hands will make warm hearts this winter. Any questions, please contact Gena Gustafson or Maureen Kosa.
