Rev. John and Melinda Bombaro (Sophia, Marie, Anna, Luca) are missionaries in Latvia.   Pastor writes to the good people of Christ Lutheran Church (after receiving the Big Mission Event donation) this letter of thanks.  You have our heartfelt appreciation for your kindness to us with your excellent gift, received in the name of Jesus.  Thank you.  I look forward to continuing in this mission with you and yours.  Please keep our endeavors in your prayers as the work is fraught with (governmental) obstacles and real dangers.  Notwithstanding, Christ is in charge and leading us each step of the way and blessing our endeavors with His favor.  Now as pastor and Associate Regional Director to Mission Eurasia, it takes him from Latvia to India with events ranging from the next Luther Academy, to baptisms at Blessed Sacrament, and broadcasting the gospel in Iran.  As the kingdoms of this world poise for confrontation, pray that Christ Jesus brings peace and salvation

** HIGH SCHOOL BIBLE STUDY – meets at 9:15 a.m. every Sunday in Room 205 (Resource Room) at CLS. 

** WEDNESDAY NIGHT YOUTH GROUP – We hope to see you on Wednesdays in February as we discuss what it means to be Gifted.  Join us for food, discussion and games.  Bring a friend!  Grades 7 & 8 at 6:30-7:30; Grades 9-12 at 7:45-9:00 p.m.  Meet us in the gym at Christ Lutheran School.

Volunteers are needed to help make and serve coffee on Sundays.  Please contact the Church Office if you are interested.  This is a great way to get know more people in the congregation.

Books from the former Church Library are available for anyone who may be interested.  Visit the first room on the left at the top of the stairs in the old school edition to see the selection.  Any books remaining after March 6 will be donated to the Norfolk Rescue Mission for their annual book sale.
