    Psalm 100 NKJV
A Psalm of Thanksgiving. 1 Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. 3 Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. 5 For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.

    Malachi 3:8–12 NKJV
8 “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. 9 You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. 10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. 11 “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the Lord of hosts; 12 And all nations will call you blessed, For you will be a delightful land,” Says the Lord of hosts.
    Matthew 5:6 NKJV
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.
    Introduction:

    1. We are made to crave… it is what we crave that change.

When Jesus used the terms hunger and thirst and filled. I love food, I don’t know about you but I love food.
in fact for Christians, its one of the last forms of entertainment. “fellowship” is mostly based on eating.
    We are made to crave.
as I think about craving the original sin is based on desire.
    Genesis 3:6 NKJV
6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.
the tree was Good for food.
    Pleasant to the eye.
    desirable to make one wise.
Do you see here how this works? The Lord made us to crave. we where built that way.
the enemy uses that built in desire (crave) to move us away from the things of God.
    James 1:13–15 NKJV
13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.
desire is part of our design! we where made to crave! we where made by the father to crave. the enemy uses that desire that God put in us to chase after the things of God to persure the things of the world.
as we renew the mind, what we crave begins to change.
where we once craved the things of the world to fill the souls desire, when we recieved the new birth we began to desire new things.

    2. Spiritual growth is rooted in the process of changing the crave.

    2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV
18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
The Riches of of God are inexcusable.
there is no way that we can be righteous without the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.
as we began to behold the Lord in our worship we see the possibility of the christian witness and sanctification.
we are never going to get the fruit from our lives that we desire without taking the time to slow down and look at Jesus.
how do we look at Jesus? We look at Jesus by being in the word of God. one of the things that you will began to see if you keep coming on Sunday morning is Jesus in real hi definition.
as you see Jesus as he is and not a preconceived cultural composite of who he is the Holy Spirit is going to began to put in your heart things to desire!
I am a believer! I believe in the Lord Jesus. I believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to change the things.
When the Lord called me into the ministry what I wanted to do was see the power of God work in the life of other people in the same way that he moved in my life.
I believe in the people in this church. the reality is the fact that many of you are even in the room this morning is a miracle.
Just a minute ago we read the verse about glory to glory. God has so much more for all of us.
before we can achieve the growth, we have to look full in the face of Jesus and trust that ultimately its God’s plan that we are working with not ours.
    we start by trusting God.

    3. we desire the presence of God changes the world as it changes us.

    Psalm 42:1–2 NKJV
1 As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. 2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?
as we began to trust God with my life and my desires, as my desires began to change.
i’m able to change what i desire and have my life fulfilled
