26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

    1. you are created to exercise dominion.

God created you to excise dominion.
This is why we crave. this is where our drive comes form.
yes we where created to worship, but we where also created to walk in our purpose.

Often, we spend much time trying to decide “the will of God for our life.” When we start with what we know about our lives and the roles we already walk in, His will for us gets a lot clearer.

    2. Let’s do a quick inventory of the Roles we hold!

    2.1 I am a believer in Jesus! ( A Christian).

    2.2 I am a man.

    2.3 I am a husband.

    2.4 I am a father.

    2.5 I am a grandfather.

    2. 6 I am a brother.

    2.7 I am a son.

    2.8 I am a friend.

    2.9 I am a Pastor.

    2.10 I am a Bishop.

    2.11 I am a fisherman.

These are the different roles that I hold in peoples life. I don’t need permission to move in these roles. I am called to move in these roles.

why do we struggle so to walk in these roles?

    Separation from God.

    Genesis 3:1–11 NKJV
1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” 2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ” 4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings. 8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” 10 So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.” 11 And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?”

    3. We where never maid or intended to do this, any part of life without God’s presence.

1 always wondered why Adam didn’t tell Satan God comes around during the cool of the evening, why don’t you hang out until He gets here and we will ask Him?
Satan did in the garden what he is still doing today, he’s planting seeds of doubt in our minds and hearts about who The Lord is.
This doubt is causing separation between us and God.
Even in our spiritual lives we are trying to do things for God and he desires that we do things with him.
my goal as a preacher/pastor is to bring people closer to God.
I want you to get freedom from the things that brought you here, the best way to do that is to allow Him into your daily life and priorities.

The Lord called you to who you are, will you let him walk with you in those roles?

    Psalm 3:1–6 NKJV
1 Lord, how they have increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me. 2 Many are they who say of me, There is no help for him in God.” Selah 3 But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head. 4 I cried to the Lord with my voice, And He heard me from His holy hill. Selah 5 I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord sustained me. 6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people Who have set themselves against me all around.
    Romans 12:1 NKJV
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

    1. The decision is yours.

We get to a place in our recovery where we decide it isn’t fair that we have to do all this work on ourselves.
The reason is this is not a journey of perfection or comparison, is a journey of progress.
Our progress is based on things like willingness.
    The Decision is yours.
To obey the Lord is totally my decision.

    2. We give our will and lives to God.

Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary (Eleventh Edition) Will

a: mental powers manifested as wishing, choosing, desiring, or intending

    3. We allow God to be God.
