  • What is your reality like?

We are going to focus on events of things that are happening in today's world and are focusing on the reality of where we need to stand as Christians. Look at the events that are going on in the world today. Coronavirus, Nigerian church torched by suspected Fulani on Jan 27th,The Presidential campaign,Teenage Suicide That just things that are going on in the world the list goes on and on. We as Christians are called to live to a standard because once we accept the reality that we are all going to die. and it might come sooner than we think. So as we think of this we have to accept the reality of a couple of things.
1: The World is against you being a Christian and will try anything for you to lose faith.
2: The other reality is you will stumble and fall.
It is what will you do when you start to fall that makes the difference between you as a christian and the world. That brings us into one of our studies.
    Hebrews 2:14–15 CSB
Now since the children have flesh and blood in common, Jesus also shared in these, so that through his death he might destroy the one holding the power of death—that is, the devil— and free those who were held in slavery all their lives by the fear of death.
See here in this passage it tells us that we are all born of flesh and we all have that in common. What does that mean? That means we will all fail at some point in our lives. We will all cry one day, or get angry one day. Most importantly we will all feel like we lost God,or God is not in our lives.
It is that reality that when we accept Jesus when we say that he will never leave us or forsake us. Before that happens we have to come to the realization that we Stumble and fall.

    Have You Stumbled?

    John 11:9–10 CSB
“Aren’t there twelve hours in a day?” Jesus answered. “If anyone walks during the day, he doesn’t stumble, because he sees the light of this world. But if anyone walks during the night, he does stumble, because the light is not in him.”
Here Jesus is talking and he explains exactly why it is you will stumble in your walk with him. When we talks about how the light in not on the person that is why they start to stumble in their faith. That is a very real example to us . think about it have you gotten up in the middle of the night and tried walking to the bathroom or the kitchen and ended up tripping on something that was in the way and started to stumble. Everyone in their lives have done that at least one in their life.
Jesus is say that is the same way in our walk with him we start to try to do things while we think God is in the dark and is not looking and we start to fall and stumble. We all do it, and we need to start accepting that reality and then we get to focus on the final Reality that hasn't been mentioned yet.

    The Final Reality

The final reality that is by far the most important is that God loves you and it doesn’t matter how much you disappoint him he will alway forgive you and allow you to have a fresh start.
Have you ever had a Parent or someone important in your life tell you that the are disappointed in you for something that you did. something that you thought I am just going to get grounded or my phone taken away. Instead they tell you that they are Disappointed in you. How did it make you feel? Did it make you want to try harder, or try anything you can to make it up to that person. See that is the feeling we should have when we start to stray and stumble from God. The great thing is that God will allow that fresh start we just have to ask him.
Now is the time to think and try to get right with God and ask him for forgiveness. The one way to change God’s disappointment is to ask for that forgiveness.
