• I'm Gail Friend when I originally went to Mansfield First Assembly it was on Glessner Ave. My maiden name is Gail Harsh. I have been gone since 1988. My last name was Mowry then. Anyways, I was going to a charismatic church but lost my ride. I live out on Lexington Avenue close to Kroger. Do you have anyone who lives near me that would offer to pick me up. Paster Austin was there before I moved away. Loved him dearly and his family. Do you have services on line?
    1. That's great to know. I contacted the pastor here in Mansfield and do you know what he told me?? "OH we don't ask our congregation to do that. You can watch it on line though." I was amazed! That's not what Jesus taught. I thought of when Jesus told his disciples that he was hungry and they did not feed him...... they asked him when did they not do that and he said what you have done to the least of them you have done unto me.. I don't mind watching it on my phone but that does not give you that personal relationship with people. Not the same. That was the second charismatic church I tried. But the first one was a case of not finding anyone that lived close enough. I guess.
    2. We are blessed to have an amazing group of brothers and sisters in Christ. I'm sorry you experienced that. It's been my experience when I want change I bring it to the Lord. I'm almost certain He'll lay it on somebody's heart to start a mission in your local church for ride services. Don't let it leave a bitter taste in your mouth. ❤️ Maybe God is sending you elsewhere. Prayers that your able to stand in attendance.
    3. Thank you for your reply. I was letting it leave a bitter taste in my mouth. I will pray and ask God where he wants me to be. I have gone to non‐ charismatic churches before and I'm okay until they start downing it and saying it was just for that day! My, my! They read past what Paul saying to the church of Corinth. I spoke to a lady the other day who goes to a Baptist church and she was telling me she goes by what the Bible says. So I mentioned praying in the the holy spirit and people say it was just for that day. Right away she spoke up and said, I've never seen an expiration date!! I thought that was so cool.
  • Psalm 111:9–10 (ESV): He sent redemption to his people; he has commanded his covenant forever. Holy and awesome is his name! 10  The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever
