March 2021
Good morning, Church Family. MASK, SOCIAL DISTANCE AND PRAYER. While the majority of our world leaves out the last element, His people (that’s US) know it is a blessing for us to be part of God’s plan to take the Good News of our Lord throughout the whole world in order to fulfill His Word. Most of these efforts are through our missionaries who are now a year into dealing with the Corona Virus, trying to implement His plan no matter the tribulations they face.
Along with their efforts, however, are the scriptural principles for us to remember: biblical faith and strict obedience to the commands of Jesus. Both faith and obedience are part and parcel of our Lord’s explicit command to take the Good News …and He blesses those churches who are obedient. We ask that you join us in our desire to pray for missionaries as we receive communication from them AND that each of us does our part to financially support their efforts.
Pray for the universal needs of virtually all missionaries and then briefly hear individual requests.
Universally, virtually all missionaries ask that we pray for:
• OPEN DOORS
• BOLDNESS
• THAT GOD’S WORD WILL SPREAD
• FOR PROTECTION
• FOR TRAVEL
• FOR REFRESHMENT
Sherri and Doug – Arabian Peninsula
Last month we prayed for Sherri and Doug to be able to find a home as they returned from their itinertion back to their country on the Arabian Peninsula. Thankfully, they were able to find a decent home. While their spirits are up and they have already begun their ministry in the new location, they were grieved that their 9 month old grandson had been diagnosed with cancer shortly after they left USA. He has had surgery and is recovering. We received the following prayer requests:
Here is how you can pray with us:
- We ask for your prayers of healing over our grandson, Thomas (Peace and strength for his parents, Caleb & Kayla.)
- We ask for your prayers as we both are stretched in new ways. For Doug, pray for fruitful conversations with local guides and hotel staff. We know there are gospel seeds planted in this dry and dusty land.
- For Sherri, please pray for strength as she has jumped in mid-stream to a teaching environment that has been a challenge. Pray for Jesus to shine through her in her conversations with co-workers, local families and, of course, with the kids in her class.
- Continue to pray for "Mark" (to know God's love for him through Jesus.)
"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us." I John 5:14
