    Genesis 50:19–20 KJV
19 And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? 20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
    I’m Alive Because There’s Moore
The Life of Joseph is by far one of my favorites in Old Testament. It clearly points to Jesus Christ. His story starts in Gen 37 and ends on the last chapter 50. That in its self is something to pay attention to. Joseph is a great example of a Prophetic/Apostolic Leader in old testament.
Discover Your Spiritual Gifts Outlining the Three Key Lists

The great majority of the spiritual gifts mentioned in the Bible are found in three key chapters:

Discover Your Spiritual Gifts Outlining the Three Key Lists

    1.

Joseph was graced with 13 of these Gifts not to mention his large portion of Favor.
Having Gifts doesn’t mean you will be exempt from Trails & Tribulations
Most of these gifts didn’t identify themselves unto until his back was up against the wall.
(some things only come through prayer and fasting & others come from crushing & stomping)
Being gifted doesn’t mean you won’t have flaws (David, Paul, Peter, Moses, John The baptist all had flaws)
Let’s Investigate how I can prove to you the reason why your still alive is because theres More.
    I. Pitt falls
    Genesis 37:1–4 KJV
1 And Jacob dwelt in the land wherein his father was a stranger, in the land of Canaan. 2 These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father’s wives: and Joseph brought unto his father their evil report. 3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours. 4 And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.
    ## Joe was young, Joe couldn’t hold spit in his mouth ( he told his father stuff he had no business telling l him) Someone say Pit fall… His favor sparked from being the baby boy of an old man, and his mother was the women his dad loved.
because he had favor, he was gifted with a coat with many colors
when his brother seen the favor they hated him and couldn’t say one nice word to him
Joe was oblivious to the hatred his half brothers had for him.
Joseph couldn’t read the room, his half brothers where vultures. He was incapable of discerning the strife in the hart of his 10 brothers
Psalm 23:5 “5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.”
See what some Church Folk Don’t Know Is Some of Us, Was really In Deem Streets, So before we had the gift of discernment we had the gift of suspicion. But Joe wasn’t one of them. He was raised in the suburbs
    Joseph wrestled with arrogance
    He Kept Sharing Dreams
Some of us had street smarts but we was never the sharpest tool in the tool box. So we will tell l any one with a listening ear the password to the safe and the computer bank account. (read between the lines ladies)
This Brother had the whole family mad at him because of his premature exposure of his dreams.
Not everyone can handle your dream, Why?? They Don’t have faith, or vision, or confidence in you to be able to pull it off..
Joseph’s Love For his family Caused him to Ignore the envy, the hatred & betrayal.
    1 Peter 4:8 NLT
8 Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.
    Genesis 37:23–27 KJV
23 And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him; 24 And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it. 25 And they sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and, behold, a company of Ishmeelites came from Gilead with their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt. 26 And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood? 27 Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content.
Joseph found himself striped from his coat of many colors and thrown in the Pit.
Now to many of us, we would consider whats happening to Joe is bad.. But please note
    He’s Still Alive
    He still Got his favor
    why?: Because there’s More.
    II. Bondage
Ask your neighbor have ever been in bondage..
    Genesis 39:1–2 NLT
1 When Joseph was taken to Egypt by the Ishmaelite traders, he was purchased by Potiphar, an Egyptian officer. Potiphar was captain of the guard for Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. 2 The Lord was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master.
Joseph was thrown in the pit by his brothers, Pulled out the pit and sold into bondage by his cousins.
Sometimes the person you think has come to rescue you is just as much as a monster than the person initaited your affliction.
Now He’s In Bondage.. But God is with him, the text says:
    Genesis 39:2 NLT
2 The Lord was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master.
    Success In Serving:
    warning…….. Success attracks Devils.
Joe is a slave but he’s the top slave he runs the entire household and because of The Lord’s Favor on his Life whatever he touches is blessed.
Potty recognized this young 17year old Servant boy. He is Muscular, handsome and in Control.. (Some of you cougars and savor tooth tigers would have been trying to hallor.
After all he’s in bondage. Which means she owns him and he has to do what she says right
(news flash) whatever your in bondage to owns you!🦾
    Genesis 39:12–19 GW
12 She grabbed him by his clothes and said, “Come to bed with me!” But he ran outside and left his clothes in her hand.  13 When she realized that he had gone but had left his clothes behind, 14 she called her household servants and said to them, “Look! My husband brought this Hebrew here to fool around with us. He came in and tried to go to bed with me, but I screamed as loud as I could. 15 As soon as he heard me scream, he ran outside and left his clothes with me.”  16 She kept Joseph’s clothes with her until his master came home. 17 Then she told him the same story: “The Hebrew slave you brought here came in and tried to fool around with me. 18 But when I screamed, he ran outside and left his clothes with me.”  19 When Potiphar heard his wife’s story, especially when she said, “This is what your slave did to me,” he became very angry.
    III. Incarceration
Joseph was found guilty without a trail for attempted Rape.
    Genesis 39:19–23 KJV
19 And it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spake unto him, saying, After this manner did thy servant to me; that his wrath was kindled. 20 And Joseph’s master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison. 21 But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison. 22 And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph’s hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it. 23 The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.
I am not sure if you have paid attention to the consistency of God, No matter what God allowed to happen in his servants life. Favor Followed Him
    Genesis 39:21 KJV
21 But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
    Genesis 39:23 KJV
23 The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.
Joseph new why he was still Alive: Because God had more for him to do.
Look at that brother or sister next to you, that looks like he got dat favor, and say: It’s Not A Mistake, your alive because theres more
    He’s Incarcerated, But he’s not complaining, he don’t have a why me?poor me Mentality.. He’s Serving, He’s full-filling someone else’s vision.
At this Point he has gained a reputation of not sharing his dream but interpreting other folks dreams.
He didn’t give up on his dream but he knew you reap what you sow.
Look at your Neighbor and tell them to sow up and grow up!!
    Genesis 40:8 KJV
8 And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.
Joseph was able to interpret the chef butlers dream to mean in 3 days God would restore him back into palace to serve the Pharaoh once again.
Joseph asked him to remember him when he returned to the Palace.
    Genesis 40:16 KJV
16 When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said unto Joseph, I also was in my dream, and, behold, I had three white baskets on my head:
    Genesis 40:19–23 KJV
19 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head from off thee, and shall hang thee on a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh from off thee. 20 And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants. 21 And he restored the chief butler unto his butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand: 22 But he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had interpreted to them. 23 Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him.
So Joseph has gone from the Pitt, to Prison & to the Palace.. but it took 2 years after helping the butler that Pharaoh had a dream..
    THE PALACE:
The next 10 chapters are extremely meaty,So let me trim the fat and get to the point..
    I. Pharaoh has two dreams that mean the same thing regarding 7 years of abundance and then 7 years of famine.
II. No one In Egypt could interpret the dreams & The chef Butler remembered Joseph
III. Joe is called out of the Prison, they had to shower him, shave him and put new clothes on him before standing before the King. He gives God the glory by explaining before interpreting the dream that its the Lord not him. Once the dream was interpreted he suggust that he hire someone to oversee this 14 year Project.
IV. Pharaoh states who better to serve in this role than Joseph,
    King James Version Chapter 41

42 And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck; 43 And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; hand they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt. 44 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt. 45 And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnath-paaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Poti-pherah priest of On. *And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.

46 And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.

This Famine was world wide, therefore Jospeh family in Canaan was effected (just like Jospeh dream shared 13 years earlier)
After several Interactions with his brothers coming to Egypt for food, Joseph reveals himself to them
Joseph has permission from Pharaoh to bring his entire family to Egypt. He does and he is reunited with his father, then after while his fathers dies. This brings us to our main text..
    Genesis 50:15–18 KJV
15 And when Joseph’s brethren saw that their father was dead, they said, Joseph will peradventure hate us, and will certainly requite us all the evil which we did unto him. 16 And they sent a messenger unto Joseph, saying, Thy father did command before he died, saying, 17 So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him. 18 And his brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we be thy servants.
    I. After all this time his brothers still thought Joseph couldn’t forgive them. why???
    Titus 1:15 NLT
15 Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted.
    Titus 1:15 TPT
15 It’s true that all is pure to those who have pure hearts, but to the corrupt unbelievers nothing is pure. Their minds and consciences are defiled.
II. Joseph was built different than them, he didn’t hold a grudge, animosity, hatred, revenge nothing. Not for his brothers, not for the Ishmaelites, not for Potiphar and his wife, not the mean people in the jail
III. Joseph is old testament type of Christ, Showing us the Power of Forgiveness, Redemption and Restoration.
    Genesis 50:19–20 KJV
19 And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? 20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
