Acts 28:1–10 NIV
1 Once safely on shore, we found out that the island was called Malta. 2 The islanders showed us unusual kindness. They built a fire and welcomed us all because it was raining and cold. 3 Paul gathered a pile of brushwood and, as he put it on the fire, a viper, driven out by the heat, fastened itself on his hand. 4 When the islanders saw the snake hanging from his hand, they said to each other, “This man must be a murderer; for though he escaped from the sea, the goddess Justice has not allowed him to live.” 5 But Paul shook the snake off into the fire and suffered no ill effects. 6 The people expected him to swell up or suddenly fall dead; but after waiting a long time and seeing nothing unusual happen to him, they changed their minds and said he was a god. 7 There was an estate nearby that belonged to Publius, the chief official of the island. He welcomed us to his home and showed us generous hospitality for three days. 8 His father was sick in bed, suffering from fever and dysentery. Paul went in to see him and, after prayer, placed his hands on him and healed him. 9 When this had happened, the rest of the sick on the island came and were cured. 10 They honored us in many ways; and when we were ready to sail, they furnished us with the supplies we needed.

Introduction:
In the last two years, many believers have failed to keep the Fire of God burning in their lives. I know it has been difficult. So many distractions to misdirect us to focus on other things besides our spiritual lives and cultivating the fire of God.

Introducción:

We have seen the effects of this negligence in our lives, our family’s live’s, Church communities, local communities, and society at large. We are in total disarray, chaos in all parts of our lives. The enemy has come up and has put venom in lives.

It breaks my heart that since 2019 30% of believers have gone from once or twice a month to 10% a few times a year 60% of believers to never or seldom. So, what has happened is that some individuals have maintained the fire and others have not.

We have failed to cultivate that fire in our lives, we have not been the salt of the earth but only sugar. As we know salt keeps us thirsty for water and wanting more from God. Salt preserves and keeps, guards our lives. When we speak about the salt of the earth which is the Gospel of God people will keep wanting to quench that thirst in their lives, family lives, community lives, and society.

The fire started to get hotter, and the Viper attacked. Don’t blame the fire for the snake, you need to throw the fire into the fire. Everything that you had overcome and all of a sudden, the attack begins. Repeatedly the whisper become loud shouting.

God is about to use you:
1. That is why the enemy wants to quench the fire.
2. He Wants you to blame the fire.
3. Overwhelm you with all those intimate fears that you already have overcome in Jesus’s name.
4. God has a plan for you, be encourage and fight through that fear and keep the fire burning in your life and watch the Viper die and God will give you the Victory to fulfill your calling.
