    Matthew 19:20–23 KJV 1900
    20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. 22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. 23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

    That we should seek him
    Make that divine connection
    Know that he is
    That he is closer than we think

    ++Not a one time act

    1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
    Faith is
    ++Substance
    ++Evidence
    Faith gives hope a body
    Makes our hope a reality.

    6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
    Without Faith
    ++We only see the temporary
    ++Our view is limited to the natural
    ++There is no connection to hope

    3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

    The natural world is perceived in 5 senses
    To see, to touch, to taste, to hear, to smell
    5 senses help us to connect to the natural world

    The Life of faith is a walk

    1 Blessed is the man That walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; And in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That bringeth forth his fruit in his season; His leaf also shall not wither; And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
    The blessing is

    ++Not in how you stand
    ++Not in where you sit

    The life of faith is one of recognition

    The power of being
    ++More than Doing
    ++More than Possessing
