WHAT TO EXECT IN A WORSHIP SERVICE:
505 Church is a Bible-based, Spirit-filled, non-denominational church with a master passion to share the good news of Jesus Christ, and to make disciples of those who have responded to that message. We have a warm family feel and a contemporary Spirit-filled style of worship, where you’ll hear relevant messages you can apply to everyday life.
OUR SERVICES TYPICALLY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
MUSIC
Each service begins with the congregation singing along to contemporary praise and worship music led by our music team. The words are posted on a screen to make it easier for all to sing along. We often begin with praise music, which is unifying, encouraging, and celebratory of God’s victory and our dedication to Him. We then progress into worship music which is intended to exalt God’s worth, reminding ourselves of how blessed we are to know Him.
PRAYER
We then pray as a congregation for needs that members and visitors have placed on a list located in our lobby.
GIVING
We then take an offering in order to honor the Lord with our giving, as He has so generously given to us, and uses our faithful giving to facilitate the Church and allow us to partner with His work.
ANNOUNCEMENTS and occasionally TESTIMONIES
Announcements are then briefly made, sometimes followed by the testimonies of some of the members with the intent to thank God and encourage others through the declaration of a recent God-given breakthrough or victory.
THE MESSAGE
The preaching of the Word of God and response to it are considered to be the most important part of our services. We want to listen with reverence and discern what applies to our lives that we may respond to that word with the resolve to live it out.
INVITATION/ALTAR-CALL
It is the desire for response and implementation that leads us to believe that it is something that we should do immediately after hearing a message, so that we may become “doers and not hearers only.” (James 1:22) For this reason, almost every message is followed by an invitation for the saint and the sinner to both come to the altar. The sinner’s response is one of faith and repentance, a conversion, and that person is often met by one of our prayer counselors. Many of those are extremely excited to begin a new life with Christ right within the service. The saint’s response is also one of agreement with what God’s word has revealed to them both indirectly and personally (through discerned application), and they will begin to speak with God bout it.
FELLOWSHIP
After the service we hope you will take a few moments to visit with us, as we would love to get to know you better and answer any questions you may have.
