      • Romans 12:12ESV

  • Tolerance is the capacity to endure hardship, pain, or differing beliefs, without necessarily agreeing with or approving of them.

    Romans 14:1–4 ESV
As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
    Colossians 3:13 ESV
bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
    Titus 3:2 ESV
to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people.
    Ephesians 4:1–2 ESV
I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,

    #1 - Unrepentant Sin

    Romans 3:23 ESV
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

There is a difference between someone who is fighting sin, stumbling, and getting back up again; and someone who is proudly living in it, defending it, and calling it freedom.

    Galatians 6:7 ESV
Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.
    God's grace is unlimited
His mercy is new every single morning without fail

But grace was never meant to become a license to ignore truth or a shield to avoid accountability.

Real love does not pretend that sin is harmless no matter how comfortable that pretending might feel
Real love does not stay silent while someone you care about walks slowly toward destruction
Real love points people back to God gently but honestly
    1 Corinthians 13:6 ESV
it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.

#2 - Lies About Your Identity

Have you ever heard that quiet voice whisper to you that you’re too broken
    You've done too much.
God could never really use someone like you
    Romans 8:1 ESV
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
    You are not disqualified
You are not too far gone
You are not the exception to God's mercy no matter what that voice keeps telling you.
God convicts you of what you did so that you can repent grow and move forward
The enemy condemns you for who he wants you to believe you are so that you stay stuck ashamed and silent
Conviction leads you back toward God.
Condemnation pushes you further away from him one lie at a time.

#3 - Fear Controlling Your Life

Fear controlling your life fear has a way of dressing itself up as wisdom
It whispers don't speak up; don't take that step; don’t trust God this time just
Play it safe. Just stay where you are
    2 Timothy 1:7 ESV
for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
We all will have fear - but you can’t let it control you.
Faith does not mean the fear magically disappears overnight
Faith means you stop letting fear make your decisions for you one obedience step at a time

#4 - Relationships That Pull You Away From God

This one is hard to hear because it usually involves someone you genuinely love and never expected to question ask yourself one honest question right now

No matter how uncomfortable it feels after spending time with this person do you feel closer to God or do you feel farther away.

    1 Corinthians 15:33 ESV
Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”
Some relationships do not destroy your faith overnight in one dramatic moment
They do something slower and in some ways far more dangerous
They quietly and gradually pull your heart away from God
And it happens one small compromise at a time until one day you barely recognize the person you have become.

    #5 - Comparison

How do you feel when you see someone else’s success and blessings?
    Galatians 6:4 ESV
But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor.
Comparison does not just steal your joy in the moment it slowly blinds you to what God is already doing in your own life right now, today.
And it does it quietly in ways you have stopped noticing.

    #6 - Living Without Hope

The enemy wants you to believe that nothing will ever change
    Romans 15:13 ESV
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
If you are still breathing today God is still writing your story and the pen has not stopped moving not even for a moment.
This concept of hope is not naive optimism
Hope is a decision to trust the character of god even when the circumstances have not changed.
    Philippians 4:11–13 ESV
Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned, in whatever situation I am, to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

    COCLUSION

God NEVER tells us to tolerate:
    Unrepented sin
    Lies about out identity
    Fear that controls our lives
Relationships the pull us away from God
    Unhealthy comparisons
