NEW SERMON SERIES: This week Pastor Bryan begins a series through the book of 2 Corinthians. Through our study of Paul's second letter, we will discover several beautiful themes. One of the biggest themes is the reality of suffering and how the Spirit is at work in the midst of suffering. Tied to this is our dependance of the grace of God revealed in Christ. We will consider how the lives of believers are transformed by the Spirit and point ahead to the coming new creation. Finally, we will see how Christ's death and resurrection is central to our hope.
LIFE GROUPS are kicking off for the year. Life groups function like small groups within Bethel CRC. There are groups that are more study oriented and some are more fellowship oriented. If you would like to join a life group, please sign up on the sheet on the library counter and you will be contacted.
ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL: Remember Saturday morning cartoons? Join us at 9 am for Sunday morning cartoons! This fall we will be watching and discussing BibleProject videos on important words from the Bible like rakhum and yakhal.
ALL LADIES are invited to meet on Tuesday mornings for Bible study and fellowship, starting this week, September 24 at 10 am in the fireside room, God willing. This year we plan on using Courageous Simplicity by Ginger Kolbaba. Questions? Call Dee or Carol.
BETHEL WOMENS THURSDAY EVENING Bible study will begin this Thursday, September 26 in the fireside room at 7 pm and we will meet every other week. We will once again use the discussion questions from the previous two Sundays. Come join us!
FROM THE DEACONS: The offering next Sunday, September 29, will be for Rehoboth Christian School. A short video will be shown this morning telling of the work of that ministry to the Navajo Indians in New Mexico.

BETHEL AND SECOND FAMILY YOUTH GROUP KICK-OFF: We are excited to announce the kick-off of the Bethel and Second Family Youth Group on Sunday, September 29 from 6-8 pm! Join us for an evening of fun, fellowship and getting to know one another at the home of John and Dee Hiemstra. Students can either go directly to the Hiemstra’s or be dropped off at Second CRC in front of the youth building, where their van will transport them to and from the event. After the kick-off the youth group will meet regularly on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month from 6-8 pm in the Second CRC youth room. Our leaders for this exciting journey are Miles Davis, Julie Kroontje, Matt and Megan Fryer from Second CRC, along with John and Dee Hiemstra.

FIRESIDE STUDY: Starting on Sunday Oct 6 at 6 pm Pastor Bryan will be leading a study of our confessions. He will be starting with the Heidelberg Catechism. In the Catechism we find a rich celebration of our hope and comfort in Christ. All are welcome to come join in this study that will happen on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Bryan.
