PRAISE: Sue Meenderinck had a favorable report from a PET scan last Friday that showed no new spots! She continues with chemo on the existing areas and is so thankful for all your prayers.

BETHEL AND SECOND CRC YOUTH GROUP KICK-OFF: We are excited to announce the kick-off of the Bethel and Second Family Youth Group tonight from 6-8 pm! Join us for an evening of fun, fellowship and getting to know one another at the home of John and Dee Hiemstra. Students can either go directly to the Hiemstra’s or be dropped off at Second CRC in front of the youth building, where their van will transport them to and from the event. After the kick-off the youth group will meet regularly on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month from 6-8 pm in the Second CRC youth room. Our leaders for this exciting journey are Miles Davis, Julie Kroontje, Matt and Megan Fryer from Second CRC, along with John and Dee.
FIRESIDE STUDY: Starting next Sunday, October 6 at 6 pm Pastor Bryan will be leading a study of our confessions. He will be starting with the Heidelberg Catechism. In the Catechism we find a rich celebration of our hope and comfort in Christ. All are welcome to come join in this study that will happen on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Bryan.
ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL: Remember Saturday morning cartoons? It’s not too late to join us at 9 am in the fireside room for Sunday morning cartoons! This fall we will be watching and discussing BibleProject videos on important words from the Bible like rakhum and yakhal.
LIFE GROUPS are kicking off for the year. Life groups function like small groups within Bethel CRC. There are groups that are more study oriented, and some are more fellowship oriented. If you would like to join a life group, please sign up on the sheet on the library counter and you will be contacted.
WOMEN’S RETREAT COMMITTEE: If you are interested in helping plan for the spring Bethel Women’s Retreat, please email Donna. We will begin meeting soon.
