POTLUCK TODAY: The Apol/Rutgers care group is hosting a potluck in the basement following today’s service. If you are a visitor, we hope you can join us. 


CLASSIS NORTH CASCADES will meet at Bethel on Thursday evening. Our delegates are Pastor Bryan, Marv Apol and Rebecca Steiger.  


NEXT WEEK’S OFFERING is for Faith Promise which supports the following ministries: Bridges of Hope, Engedi, Envision Ministries, New Way Ministries, Starfish Ministries, NW Hispanic Ministries, The Table, Community Outreach, Bethel Quilting, Backpack Buddies, and our missionaries.


UNDERSTANDING AND MINISTERING TO THE SIKH COMMUNITY: On Saturday, October 19 at 7 pm the Lynden URC (8650 Benson Road) invites us to attend a seminar led by Rev. Tony Zekveld on the Sikh community (their history, beliefs, practices, and religion) with a goal of understanding them as our neighbors but also how to minister to them as those who need Christ and the Gospel.


ANNUAL REFORMATION DAY WORSHIP SERVICE: with sister CRC congregations will be held Sunday, October 27 at 6 pm at First CRC. The special guest pastor will be Von Golder, for 25 years a missionary to Albania, and one of the first to plant a protestant church in Albania after communism fell in 1991. The offering will be for Memli and Luiza Mema, a pastor who is planting churches in Muslim villages in southern Albania.
