MIDGE TIMMER passed away on Tuesday. We extend our Christian sympathy to her family in this time of mourning. Midge’s graveside service and open house at church were held yesterday.
THANK YOU: Dear Brothers and Sisters at Bethel. Thank you kindly for the flowers you sent in memory of my beloved life partner, Willie. Thank you also for many personal expressions of your support and condolences in these difficult times. We hold fast to the Lord's promise that nothing in life or in death can separate us from the steadfast love of our Savior, Jesus. ~Pastor John Van Schepen
PETER FISH will be collected during the service today! Kids can bring their fish forward after the offering or place them in the baskets as you leave the sanctuary. (If you forgot your fish, bring it next week.)
POTLUCK TODAY: The D. Van Andel/J. Meenderinck care group is hosting a potluck in the basement following today’s service. If you are a visitor, we hope you can join us.
CADETS SELLING POINSETTIAS: Our Bethel Cadets are selling poinsettias. Proceeds from the sale will help fund supplies, shirts, activities and the Sumas Camp each summer. If you wish to purchase a poinsettia, please contact one of our Cadets: Alex Brewster, Gus, Cy and Cord De Jong, Isaac and Josiah Dick and Bradley Hiemstra. The deadline for orders is November 18.
THANKSGIVING OFFERING: Next Sunday, November 17, the list of suggested ministries you may give to for our Thanksgiving offering (along with an envelope for your check) will be in your church mailbox. Our Thanksgiving Eve service will be held Wednesday, November 27.
BETHEL VAN DRIVER NEEDED: After many years of driving the Bethel van, John and Jane Schouten are retiring from this worthwhile service for our senior citizens. If you feel led to help with this ministry, please talk to Jerry Meenderinck, Dick Drost or Doug Van Andel.
