We are thankful to the Lord for a very successful outcome and ask for prayers for a continued healing process in the weeks to come. ~Sincerely, Dorothy and Dave Van Dyk

WE THANK YOU for your love and kindness which was shown through your prayers, words and cards as we grieved the death of sister Ruth and brother Gary. ~Yours in Christ, Marv and Karen Apol

Announcements

THANKSGIVING EVE: Please join us at 7 pm Wednesday for our Thanksgiving Eve service.

FROM THE DEACONS: As we look ahead to our Thanksgiving Eve service this week, it's time to consider how we can share our abundance with others. Please review the list provided last week of worthwhile Christian causes we believe are furthering Christ's kingdom and use the provided envelope to give your offering on Wednesday night. Extra envelopes and Thanksgiving offering lists are available in the back of church.

THANKSGIVING CARD: Please consider filling out “A Harvest of Righteousness” card and placing in the basket in the library. As we are thankful in seeing the fruit of the earth, we can also find encouragement to persist in our fruitful Christian living! We will incorporate them into our Thanksgiving Eve service.

NO TUESDAY morning ladies Bible study this week, November 25.

SUNDAY SCHOOL: K-12 Sunday School will not be meeting next week, Sunday, November 30. Following the Thanksgiving break, we will meet on December 7, 14 and 21.

WOMEN’S BRUNCH AND GOODIE EXCHANGE: Please check your church mailboxes for an invitation to our annual Women’s Brunch and Goodie Exchange.

BLANKET DRIVE: Next Sunday, November 30, the deacons will be collecting blankets and quilts for Northwest Hispanic Ministry, serving the needs of Hispanic people in Whatcom and Skagit counties. Under the leadership of Joe Strong and others, the basic needs of Hispanic people are being met, and lives are being transformed by the Gospel. Please bring new or clean, gently used bed-sized blankets to the table at the back of church on the 30th for us to bless this ministry.

CHRISTMAS CAROLING: It will soon be time for Christmas caroling. Please sign the leader paper if you wish to lead a group or the volunteer paper if you are willing to join a group to spread Christmas cheer. The leaders will form the groups and set the date and time. Note to elders and deacons: please make a list of people in your care group who would like to have carolers and put the list in Marv Apol’s mailbox, 323. For more information, talk to Marv.

CHRISTMAS CHOIR: Look for more information soon about Bethel singers and community members joining for the “Hallelujah Chorus” at our Candlelight Service on December 21. We will practice 2-3 times in December.
