CADET SUNDAY: Today is Cadet Sunday. Welcome Cadets and families! Bethel and First CRC have a long-standing partnership for the Cadet program that meets every other Monday night. We look forward to hearing about your 2025-2026 season.
CADETS: Mother-Son game night is tomorrow, February 2. Bring your mom and your favorite board or card game to play with others. Also, please bring your favorite snack to share. Arrive at 6:30 pm and we will try to keep the fun going until 8:30.
FAITH PROMISE MISSIONS FUND: If you forgot to turn in your Faith Promise Missions Fund pledge card last week, it's not too late! Please put your card in the offering bag today. Thank you to all who have pledged this year to help us fund the missionaries and ministries our church supports each year.
REFORMED ROOTS: This evening, we will be studying the person of the Holy Spirit and the work of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is often called the shy member of the Trinity. The NT scriptures focus on the work of Jesus. Yet Jesus proclaimed the need and blessing of the Spirit for all his disciples. All ages are welcome to come enjoy a cup of hot cider, coffee or tea and join us as we consider what the Bible teaches about this shy person of the Trinity.
PRAYER RETREAT AT CEDAR SPRINGS: The church will host a dedicated Prayer Retreat at Cedar Springs on Sunday, February 15, from 2:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. The retreat will feature both individual guided prayer times for personal reflection and communion with God, as well as small group sessions for shared encouragement and intercession. A meal will be provided at no cost to participants. This retreat is available to all who desire to spend intentional time in prayer, both individually and with fellow believers. Registration: Please sign up on the sheet in the library. Carpooling is available—please indicate your need (driver or rider) when signing up. For questions, contact the church office or Pastor Bryan.
BETHEL NEWSLETTER: The Admin team is seeking a willing volunteer to take over as editor of the Bethel Newsletter. If you have a heart for collecting and sharing stories, photos and highlights from our congregation’s life and ministry, this could be a wonderful way to serve and connect our church family. Interested individuals are encouraged to contact Jill Sipma for more details or to express interest. Thank you for considering this opportunity to help keep our community informed and encouraged.
ADMIN MEETING HIGHLIGHTS: The Admin team met on January 6 and 27.
• We noted with gratitude that new pens for the pews were distributed.
• The transition of the Quilt House to a home for a flood victim family went very well.
