PLEASE PRAY for Ruth Tiersma’s family as they mourn her passing. We are grateful for the many years Ruth served her Bethel family in various ways. Ruth’s memorial service will be Saturday, March 21 at 1 pm.
PLEASE REMEMBER all our Bethel members who are unable to worship with us regularly.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Betty Hollander who will celebrate her 84th birthday March 20.
POTLUCK: The care community group of Tim Holleman and Matt Brewster is hosting a potluck in the basement following this morning’s service. Please join us if you are visiting!
COMBINED SERVICE: Bethel will host the combined CRC prayer service for crops and industry tonight at 6 pm. Nursery will be provided and coffee and cookies will be served downstairs afterwards. The offering will be for Growing Hope Globally, an organization whose vision helps subsistence farmers in developing countries grow their own food and earn an income. Currently they support 49 programs in 31 countries. Specifically, our offering will be used to support the Uganda Rubanda program run by World Renew. REMODEL UPDATE:
• Our remodel project is well on its way as you can see. Beginning tomorrow, the next phase of the demolition work in the kitchen and library area will proceed. Several of the volunteers who helped last week will be unavailable this coming week. Anyone who has even a few hours available to help is welcome. Contact John Schouten so he has an idea how much help he can plan on.
• The library books, DVDs, puzzles etc. have been moved to the old council room (behind the organ). Please take as many items as you wish. The books and DVDs that are left over will be donated in the next few weeks. Please note that the puzzles may still be borrowed. They will find a permanent location after the remodel.
• Sunday morning coffee will be upstairs as usual today.
