CONGRATULATIONS to Doug and Norene Van Andel who will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary July 23!
CONTINUE TO remember in prayer Herb and Bernace Korthuis and their family as Herb is on Hospice care at CHCC and they await for him to go to his eternal home.
PRAYER AND PANTRY: Today we will be joined by Aaron Newcomb from Engedi Refuge with an update on the missions work they are doing to help support survivors of human trafficking in our area. We invite you to bring items for their Prayer and Pantry event to the table at the back of church this week and next Sunday the 26th. As a congregation, we help support Engedi Refuge through our Faith Promise Missions.
CADET CAMPOREE: Please be in prayer for the International Cadet Camporee being held in Alberta, Canada until mid-week. Bethel Cadets and leaders who are attending are: Carson and Isaac Dick, Gus and Cy De Jong and Les Mulder. Over 1,300 men, boys and staff are enjoying a week of worship, devotions, games, activities and food!
BRYCE CREEK dates are coming up! July 30 – Aug. 2. RSVP to Elaine if you plan to camp or if you have questions. We will meet TODAY July 19 after church, to discuss details and assign some food items.
SAFE CHURCH is starting up again. If you volunteer to work with children and youth in Bethel, have a paid position at Bethel or are a council member, you will find an application in your mailbox that needs to be filled out and returned by Sunday, August 2. A box will be provided on the counter for you to return these applications. If you have any questions, contact one of the members of our Safe Church Team. They are Dolores Bosman, Yuanita Gitamara, Les Mulder or Jill Sipma.
COME WATCH THE MARINERS. On Aug 6th the Seattle Mariners play a 1:10 pm game against the Detroit Tigers. If you are interested in going to this game with others from Bethel, today is the last day to sign up on the sheet on the coffee bar. The plan is to carpool to Lynnwood and then take the light rail to the game and to have a fun time at the ballpark.
BIKE OUTING: If you would like to bike in the Lynden area on Saturday, September 25, starting at 11 am., talk to Matt Brewster or Marv Apol. Ice cream and snacks will be served in the basement afterwards.
PROPERTY SIGN OUT FORM: Thank you for remembering to complete and return a property sign out form prior to borrowing items from church. Forms are in the new mailbox by the offices or on the counter in the basement room where we have our wheelchairs, walkers, etc. that are available to borrow. Thank you.
