Our Church Family

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Gladys Van Beek who will celebrate her 84th birthday on August 4.

PLEASE REMEMBER the members of our Bethel family who are unable to worship with us regularly.

Announcements

BRYCE CREEK POTLUCK: Everyone is invited to join the campers at Bryce Creek (9635 Heady Road) for hamburgers and hot dogs today at 1 pm. Bring your own drinks and a side to share!

MARINERS GAME INFORMATION: To all those going to the Mariners vs Tigers game this Thursday, Aug. 6, please meet at church at 8:30 am so we can carpool. Pastor Bryan has the tickets. Everyone is responsible for their own meals at the ballpark.

COMMUNION: We will be celebrating the sacrament of the Lord's Supper next week in obedience to Jesus' command to "do this in remembrance" of him. As we look ahead to this celebration, please spend some time in preparation by considering your faith, hope and love. Is your faith grounded in the work of Jesus Christ as revealed in the Bible? Is your hope and assurance founded on Jesus' death for your sin and his righteousness being given to you? Is your life marked by a love for both God and neighbor?

SAFE CHURCH is starting up again. If you volunteer to work with children and youth in Bethel, have a paid position at Bethel or are a council member, you will find an application in your mailbox that needs to be filled out and returned by today, August 2. A box is provided on the counter for you to return these applications. If you have any questions, contact one of the members of our Safe Church Team: Dolores Bosman, Yuanita Gitamara, Les Mulder or Jill Sipma.

GENERAL FUND BUDGET: Make sure to pick up the copy of the final General Fund budget for last fiscal year in your church mailbox. The Admin Team thanks our congregation for their continued support of the general fund, giving our church a solid financial base to support our denomination, hire our staff, maintain our facilities, and fund church programs.

PASTOR BRYAN will be gone Aug 10-17. If you have any spiritual needs during this time, please contact one of the elders: Jeff De Jong, Doug Van Andel, Karl Bosman, Tim Holleman, Ed Ball, or John Hiemstra.

HIKING ADVENTURE: If you wish to go hiking at Larabee State Park on Saturday, August 15, please meet in the church parking lot at 10 am. We will have hot dogs afterwards. Questions: Talk to Marv Apol.
