Our Church Family

CONTINUE to keep Gary Hiemstra in your prayers. This past Monday he had surgery to remove part of his intestine because of a twist in it. He continues to be in the hospital as he recovers. Please pray for healing.

PLEASE REMEMBER Sally Hiemstra in your prayers. On Monday she is going to have exploratory surgery. They are hoping to get more information about the reason for her fatigue. She will not have a stent put in at this time, as previously hoped, due to low blood counts.

WE GIVE THANKS that Jana Bosscher’s foot surgery was successful.

WE EXTEND OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHY to Matthew Elgersma, Bob and Glenda as they mourn the passing of Matthew’s girlfriend, Cameron. May the Lord be close to them in their time of sorrow.

CONGRATULATIONS to Art and Jackie Hommes who will celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary tomorrow, August 24 and to Randy and Joan Knutzen who will celebrate their 58th wedding anniversary August 27.

Announcements

CHILDREN AND WORSHIP will start again in mid-September. Please talk to Julie Ball if you are interested in teaching (adults) or helping (middle/high schoolers).

BIKE OUTING: There will be a bike outing that begins at Fairhaven Park in Bellingham this Saturday, August 29. We will leave Bethel’s parking lot at 10:30 am with vans and a trailer for the bikes. If you do not have a bike, come early at 10 am and pick one out. Afterwards we will enjoy ham buns; take along something to share. Questions? Call Matt Brewster or Marv Apol.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION UPDATE: We are pleased to report that with your support our 2025-2026 year ended well in June. God is good! We are also thankful that for the 2026-2027 school year 100% of our tuition is covered by the pledges. Thank you for your support through prayers and your faithful giving!
