WELCOME TO REV. AARON WALTERS who will lead our evening service. Rev. Walters is pastor of The Table, a missional faith community in Bellingham.

VESPERS SERVICE TODAY at 3pm at Meadow Greens, Group one: Homer & Betty Wigboldy, John & Jane Schouten, Jerry & Sue Meenderinck, Dolores Bosman, Les & Marcia Mulder, Jan Herwerden, Ruth Tiersma and Gertrude Statema.

CARE COMMUNITY of Jeff De Jong and Darin De Young will have a potluck following the morning service next week, October 21.

NEXT SUNDAY EVENING our offering will be for Engedi Refuge Ministries, a faith based restorative program for women who have survived sexual exploitation.

GAME NIGHT WITH GEMS: Any women who don’t currently have a daughter in GEMS but would like to have fun and get to know our GEMS are invited to a game night on Monday, October 22 at 7pm. We will have many games set up, but feel free to bring your favorite one!  If you need transportation please contact Mary Kok.

SPUD FEED: Our youth group’s annual spud feed will be held Wednesday, October 24 from 5-7 pm. Come and support our youth ministry!

BUTTERBRAIDS & COOKIE DOUGH: Bethel GEMS are once again selling delicious Butterbraids (flaky frozen pastry that you thaw, rise & bake) and frozen cookie dough. Each is $12. Butterbraid flavors: four cheese & herb, apple, blueberry cream cheese, cherry, cinnamon, cream cheese, raspberry, strawberry cream cheese, & caramel rolls. Cookie Dough flavors: candy delight, chocolate chip, cranberry oatmeal medley, peanut butter perfection, snickerdoodle, sweet macadamia nut. Please contact your favorite GEM by October 22 to order.

BUILDING AND GROUNDS COMMITTTEE reminds all members and staff to make sure the church is locked when you leave in the evening. Marv does not always return at night to check and consequently doors are found unlocked or not properly latched in the morning! Please be diligent in this regard. Thank you.

FROM THE WORSHIP COMMITTEE: Council has approved the order of new pulpit furniture, which will arrive sometime in December. When the delivery date approaches, we’ll be seeking volunteers to help unload the truck. Thank you.—Keith Korthuis, Pat Folkertsma, Mary Pitcher, Laura Te Velde, Elaine Vos, committee members.
