This Week at Calvary!

Hi Calvary Family,

Thank God for a living hope!

If you were able to join us yesterday, you will remember that Pastor Chris led us in an exposition of the hope we have. He started us off by reading about how powerful and wealthy King Solomon became, but in the end, his only hope was in fearing God and keeping his commandments (Ecc. 12:13). We see this reflected later in 1 Peter 1:3, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." Our hope rests in Christ alone!

Christ read this great quote from C.S. Lewis, "I must keep alive in myself the desire for my true country, which I shall not find till after death... I must make it the main object of life to press on to that country and help others to do the same." This is our calling, to press onward towards hope in Christ and to bring others with us.

I want to encourage you this week, to brings others alongside you towards hope. We have a wide array of Connect Bible Classes on Sundays at 9:00 am that you can bring a guest too. We also have our Wednesday Night Bible Study at 6:30 pm in the Worship Center. Please join us for those studies as we venture towards hope.
