This Week at Calvary!
Hi Calvary Family,
Happy Monday!
I hope you had a blessed Sunday! It was a joy to continue with you in our Share series as we looked together at Galatians 6:1-2 on what it means to Assist the Needy and Restore the Fallen.
All around us as we move about our lives are those stuck in immediate needs. We talked yesterday about the story of the Good Samaritan and how the man who was attacked had needs that immediately needed to be addressed. It is our calling as believers to "bear one another's burdens" (Gal. 6:2) as we share life together. My call to you today is that as you go in life you find ways to meet the immediate needs of others so that you can help them meet their ultimate need for Christ.
It is that ultimate need for Christ that we ought to be seeking ways to restore the fallen. Galatians 6:1 calls us to restore anyone who is caught up in spiritual transgression. Yesterday we heard the testimony of Sharon Ingram. I ask that you think about that testimony and consider whether or not you could give a testimony such as that and if you could hear such a testimony.
I challenge you this week to be praying and seeking ways to meet the immediate needs of others while also meeting their ultimate need for Christ.
One way to meet this goal is to invite families to our Eggstravaganza this Sunday, March 28th! We will have a wonderful time together at our annual egg hunt and of course, a salvation message will be preached for anyone who needs restoring. You can register for our Eggstravaganza here: cbtsavannah.org/easter
I am praying for you this week and can't wait to worship with you again soon!
