Describe what we are going to do…
    Worship - Teach - Pray individually - pray together…
25 min on your own - Prayer requests… prayer guide
Pray out loud - it keeps you from being distracted. we will have music playing.
Don’t visit in the room… pray
Don’t go and pray for someone unsolicited… ask before you pray.
You can get together and pray as well.
    Jeremiah 29:11 NLT
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah wrote this to the Israelites who had been exiled to Babylon some where around 605 BC.. Imagine with me. They had been conquered by the Babylonians as punishment for their sinful ways and abandoning God. Then their profit writes them this letter.
Jeremiah told them that they needed to move ahead with their lives in Babylon… that they were not returning to their land anytime soon. He told them
To pray for the pagan nation that had made them slaves.
Live normal lives… build houses, marry promote the peace and well being of the city where God had paced them because they would not be back for 70 years.
Side point here - Life cannot grind to a halt when you are going through difficult times. When you encounter difficult and unpleasing situations, you have to adjust and keep moving.
You may find it difficult to pray for those in authority, but that’s where your prayers are needed and where God says to place them.
When you are in these difficult times, are experience a sudden change, pray diligently and move ahead with whatever can do instead of giving up because of fear and uncertainty.
They must not listen to false prophets who were predicting that the exile would be short.
Those who remained in Jerusalem would suffer greatly because of their rebellion.
The two false prophets would be killed because of their sinful lifestyle of living in adultery and falsely representing God.
At the end of 70 years in captivity, a portion of the people who had renewed faith and and desire for God would desperately pray for restoration … natural and spiritual… and God would hear their prayers and answer them.
That’s the background Jeremiah wrote these words to the exiles.
Now here are a few things to think about from this.

    1. Our God has a hope and a future for all of us.

Hope is actually a word picture. This is telling us that the more we press into God, the more we can see the hope that he has given us come to fruition.
    Output vs. Outcome -
Output is about the numbers… the number of days that you will live. Number of people who attend church or a group.
Out Come is about how people’s lives are changed. What has changed in your life because of your relationship with Jesus.
Future is an outcome word. He had a hope and a future for each one of us. That means he has a purpose for you to fulfill. No matter where you are or where you have been. Which leads me to this…

    2. Your life is not over.

Your life has value… meaning … a purpose… No matter what your past looks like… no matter what you have done… It’s not over.
God has a calling on each one of your lives.

Don’t give up on your calling.

Some of you may have wanted to give up on your calling… your purpose … all of you have a calling…
    Romans 11:29 NLT
29 For God’s gifts and his call can never be withdrawn.
God doesn’t change and he says he will not withdraw his offer. But people can resist it. Many use this verse to say, I can live any way I want to and still be whatever God called me to be. That’s not what this verse is about. He is talking about the promises made to Israel and that He will be faithful to keep his promises to them. But it also means that he is faithful to us.
So, No matter what our past looks like, our lives still have purpose, and meaning. Don’t give up.

It’s not over for your relationships.

    Marriages -
    Kids -
    Co-workers -
    Friends

It’s not over for our dreams

It’s not too late to … go back to school… to take that job… God has amazing things for your future … Maybe God spoke to you about something a while back, and you still haven’t seen it or done it… it’s not over.
So what are we going to do today?

    3. We will put our future in His hands.

    Jeremiah 29:12–13 NLT
12 In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.
We want to put our future in his hands…
We are going to spend some time in prayer. You can walk around… pick up some of the prayer requests… pray for your breakthru…
    Me pray - God it’s not over…
    Prayer time 15 min.
    Come back together.
    Prayer -
    Praise his name together.
Lets begin with thanksgiving… we enter into his courts with praise… Thank God for your Salvation… your forgiveness… Thank you that we are made brand new… God I thank you that you are right and I am wrong… Think back to the moment you gave your life to the Lord and all the things he has done from then to now. Thank Him. God we are are not all we can be yet, but we are not what we used to be. Mold us and make us into the people you want us to be. Anything in us that doesn’t look like you, cut it out of us. We want to be more and more like you.
More of you and less of us.
We thank you that you are our healer… anyone who is sick, or is standing in for some oene who is sick. Lift that person’s name up right now.
We thank you that you are our shepherd and lead us. You lead and I will follow. Thank you that you want and know what’s best for us today.
If you need provision, open your hands and receive from God. We look to you for our provision. We invite you into our finance's.
Peace - We receive your peace. We thank you that you give us your peace that passes all understanding.
We thank you for your presence.
Pray the prayer of Jabez -
    1 Chronicles 4:10 NLT
10 He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!” And God granted him his request.
Before we ask for God’s blessings, let’s Thank God for his blessings he has already given us.
1 Chronicles 4:10 “He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me
Ask God for His blessings. Recognize your need for His provision, and set your heart toward wanting more than you need so that you can be a blessing to others.
    and expand my territory!
As God’s blessings increase in our lives, we can ask for and experience greater opportunity to influence the world around us for him.
Pray for more influence and trust him to open doors and to lead you on His path for all of his glory. It’s not over… Our future is bigger than our past. The world will be a different place because of Christ in us. We put our future in your hands.
God we thank you for the gifts and abilities you have given us and that you call us to use them for you. Fan the flames in each one… the gifts of healing, administration, mercy, intercessors, leadership, ministry… overcome addictions so we can help others…
    Expand our relationships - marriages… kids/parents… coworkers…
Please be with me in all that I do,
As we ask for more influence, we also need to ask for God’s presence so that we are not trying to operate in our own strength, but through the presence of God.
Acknowledge your need for God’s presence in your life … ask him for His anointing and for him to put His had on your life.
Ask Jesus to bless you with his presence in every area of your life.
and keep me from all trouble and pain!” And God granted him his request.”
Finally, Jabez asked for the Lord to protect him. If we are influencing the world for Jesus, we must understand that the enemy will try to stop us. God promises to be with us and protect us, and because He is with us, we have nothing to fear.
Trust God to protect you. Tell Him specific areas where you feel the need for His protection and ask Him to cover areas that you can’t see.
Devil you are a liar… get your hands off of each one hear… Lord, if you are for us, who can be against us.
We thank you for your protection…
Song - Show us your glory … Jesus you change everything… Worthy is your name Jesus.. Be Exalted now in the heavens… Jesus Christ my living hope… How Glorious you are … Honor and grace are yours forever… Oh Praise his name for ever more.
Prayer time… They say this mountain can’t be moved… there is power in your name…
