Christ was Rejected
(Isaiah 53:1-3a)
Pr. Lim Thien Leong | speaker
This year [2016] you will eat what grows by itself, and the second year [2017] what springs from that. But in the third year [2018] sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
Once more a remnant of the kingdom of Judah will take root below and bear fruit above. For out of Jerusalem will come a remnant, and out of Mount Zion a band of survivors.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.
“Where Does Your Help Come From?”
by Anne Graham Lotz
When have you been in a situation when you desperately needed help? Who did you turn to? I was recently admonished by a very well-meaning person, “Anne—take care of yourself. No one else will.”
Seriously? While I understand the challenge to be prudent about practical matters, I have every confidence that God will take care of me as though I was the only person He had to be concerned with. Because God is my Help … I can turn to Him. And He is your Help, too.
The writer to the Hebrews exclaimed with emphatic confidence: The Lord is my helper … And He is! How do I know He will help you? Because that’s who He is. He can’t be less than Himself, and He is our Helper. Rely on Him and experience His strength when you are weak, His peace when you are worried, and His resurrection power when you are weary.
He will help you. I know.
Dear Lord, I cannot make it without You.
I declare that You are my constant source of help.
Please increase my faith, trust and confidence in You.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
