Thanks to everyone who came and helped with Feed My Starving Children! They packed meals for Romania and particularly the refugees from the Ukraine. Everyone there packed a total of 37 boxes which will feed 37 people for a year. Some have asked if we can give something to help with Christians in the Ukraine. The Orthodox Presbyterian church has a missionary in Ukraine, so we can collect offerings and channel them through the OPC.  Rev. Hacquebord serves in Ukraine.

Heidelberg Seminary has been training men in the Philippines and now have started to train men for the pastorate in Africa through online classes. Those interested in helping with either of these would be appreciated.

Just as the fear of God in the heart is the fountain of righteousness, so the denial of God in the heart is the fountain of sin. Joel Beeke

True ethical absolutes can only be grounded in the fear of a living God. R. C. Sproul

The person who is unconcerned about those who are perishing may well wonder whether he is a Christian.

Heidelberg Catechism

Lord’s Day 17

45. What benefit do we receive from the “resurrection” of Christ?

First, by His resurrection He has overcome death, that He might make us partakers of the righteousness which He has obtained for us by His death. Second, by His power we are also now raised up to a new life. Third, the resurrection of Christ is to us a sure pledge of our blessed resurrection.

46. What do you understand by the words “He ascended into heaven”?

That Christ, in the sight of His disciples, was taken up from the earth into heaven, and continues there in our behalf until He shall come again to judge the living and the dead.

47. But is not Christ with us even unto the end of the world, as He has promised?

Christ is true man and true God. According to His human nature He is now not on earth, but according to His Godhead, majesty, grace, and Spirit, He is at no time absent from us.

48. But are not, in this way, the two natures in Christ separated from one another, if the manhood is not wherever the Godhead is?

Not at all, for since the Godhead is incomprehensible and everywhere present, it must follow that the same is not limited with the human nature He assumed, and yet remains personally united to it.

Apostles Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.  And in Jesus Christ, His only-begotten Son, our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From there He will come to judge the living and the dead.  I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy, universal Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

Lord’s Prayer

Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Is There No God In Israel?

2 Kings 1

Our long-suffering and merciful God -

  1. He gives many opportunities to repent & trust Him!

2. He will always be true to His word!

So we must entrust ourselves to Him!
