 Further Study  -

Let that man beware who would attack this Lion of the tribe of Judah: “Who dares to rouse him?” If one persecutes his followers, he will rouse him. If one denies his truth, tramples on the doctrine of atonement, and rejects his love, he will rouse him. Terrible is the King of Judah when he is once aroused. We must submit ourselves to him: “Pay homage to the Son or he will be angry and you will perish in your rebellion, for his anger may ignite at any moment.” The Lion of the tribe of Judah is the guardian of every believing heart. We have but to trust ourselves to Jesus, and he will see to it that we are never destroyed. Bow before him, accept his grace, trust in his atoning sacrifice, and then the power that should make us now tremble will be exerted on our behalf and cause us to rejoice forever. Charles Spurgeon

- Hymns  -

We gather together to ask the Lord's blessing; He chastens and hastens his will to make known; The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing: Sing praises to his Name; he forgets not his own.

Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining, Ordaining, maintaining his kingdom divine; So from the beginning the fight we were winning: Thou, Lord, wast at our side: all glory be thine!

We all do extol thee, thou Leader triumphant, And pray that thou still our Defender wilt be. Let thy congregation escape tribulation:Thy Name be ever praised! O Lord, make us free!

I am so glad that our Father in heav’n, Tells of his love in the book he has giv’n: Wonderful things in the Bible I see; This is the dearest, that Jesus loves me.

I am so glad that Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me, I am so glad that Jesus loves me, Jesus loves even me.

Though I forget him, and wander away, Still he doth love me wherever I stray; Back to his dear loving arms do I flee, When I remember that Jesus loves me.

O if there's only one song I can sing, When in his beauty I see the great King, This shall my song in eternity be, "O what a wonder that Jesus loves me.”

What a fellowship, what a joy divine, Leaning on the everlasting arms; What a blessedness, what a peace is mine, Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Leaning, leaning, Safe and secure from all alarms; Leaning, leaning, Leaning on the everlasting arms. (Chorus)

Oh, how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way, Leaning on the everlasting arms; Oh, how bright the path grows from day to day, Leaning on the everlasting arms.

What have I to dread, what have I to fear, Leaning on the everlasting arms? I have blessed peace with my Lord so near, Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Apostles Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only-begotten Son, our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy, universal Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen. How Are You and I Saved?
