St. Paul’s Evangelical Reformed Church

Pastor Daniel R. Schnabel        15470 County Road 31, Hamburg, MN

Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation. John 5:28-29

- Hymns  -

All people that on earth do dwell, Sing to the Lord with cheerful voice; Him serve with fear, his praise forthtell, Come ye before him and rejoice.

The Lord ye know is God indeed; Without our aid he did us make; We are his folk, he doth us feed, And for his sheep he doth us take.

O enter then his gates with praise, Approach with joy his courts unto; Praise, laud, and bless his name always,For it is seemly so to do.

For why? the Lord our God is good, His mercy is for ever sure; His truth at all times firmly stood, And shall from age to age endure.

Amazing grace—how sweet the sound— That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found— Was blind, but now I see.

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear, The hour I first believed!

Thro' many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; 'Tis grace has brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home.

And when this flesh and heart shall fail, And mortal life shall cease, I shall possess within the veil, A life of joy and peace.

When we've been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, We've no less days to sing God's praise, Than when we've first begun.

Abide with me: fast falls the eventide: The darkness deepens; Lord, with me abide: When other helpers fail, and comforts flee, Help of the helpless, O abide with me.

Swift to its close ebbs out life's little day; Earth's joys grow dim, its glories pass away; Change and decay in all around I see; O thou who changest not, abide with me.

I need thy presence ev'ry passing hour; What but thy grace can foil the tempter's pow’r? Who like thyself my guide and stay can be? Through cloud and sunshine, O abide with me.

I fear no foe, with thee at hand to bless: Ills have no weight and tears no bitterness.Where is death's sting? where, grave, thy victory? I triumph still, if thou abide with me.

Hold thou thy cross before my closing eyes: Shine through the gloom, and point me to the skies: Heav'n's morning breaks, and earth's vain shadows flee: In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me.

Apostles Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only-begotten Son, our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy, universal Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen. How Are You and I Saved?
