Church Fall clean up day Saturday September 19th at 9:00 a.m.

October 4th we will move worship back indoors. While we must not fear(Luke 12:4), we can take precautions. As Christians who are called to “Honor the king”(1 Peter 2:17) we also have to strive to follow the mandates of Governor Walz, unless they put us in conflict with God’s law(Acts 5:29). These mandates require a mask be worn inside. We will also have masks available. If you are not wearing a mask we will assume you have a health condition which does not allow it. To honor the 6 foot rule between families we will use every other pew and diagonally stagger. We will fill the church in from the front to the back and have the back leave first. Visiting also will be encouraged outdoors. Our sister churches of Redeemer and Emmaus, have been doing this, without any issues. We will also have a touch free hand sanitizing station. Gloves have been shown to spread germs more easily when used, so we will not use them. The New England Journal of Medicine also reported in a study that the virus last up to four days on paper, so the removal of the Bibles and hymnals is not needed.

-Hymns -

I greet thee, who my sure Redeemer art, My only trust and Saviour of my heart, Who pain didst undergo for my poor sake; I pray thee from our hearts all cares to take.

Thou art the King of mercy and of grace, Reigning omnipotent in every place: So come, O King, and our whole being sway; Shine on us with the light of thy pure day.

Thou art the life, by which alone we live, And all our substance and our strength receive; O comfort us in death's approaching hour, Strong-hearted then to face it by thy pow'r.

Thou hast the true and perfect gentleness, No harshness hast thou and no bitterness: Make us to taste the sweet grace found in thee, And ever stay in thy sweet unity.

Our hope is in no other save in thee; Our faith is built upon thy promise free; O grant to us such stronger hope and sure That we can boldly conquer and endure.

Teach me, O Lord, your way of truth, And from it I will not depart; That I may steadfastly obey, Give me an understanding heart.

In thy commandments make me walk, For in thy law my joy shall be; Give me a heart that loves thy will, From discontent and envy free.

Turn thou mine eyes from vanity, And cause me in thy ways to tread; O let thy servant prove thy Word, And thus to godly fear be led.

Turn thou away reproach and fear; Thy righteous judgments I confess; To know thy precepts I desire; Revive me in thy righteousness.

____________________________________

God moves in a mysterious way, His wonders to perform; He plants his footsteps in the sea, And rides upon the storm.

Deep in unfathomable mines, Of never-failing skill, He treasures up his bright designs, And works his sovereign will.

Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take; The clouds ye so much dread, Are big with mercy, and shall break, In blessings on your head.

Judge not the Lord by feeble sense, But trust him for his grace; Behind a frowning providence, He hides a smiling face.

His purposes will ripen fast, Unfolding every hour; The bud may have a bitter taste, But sweet will be the flow'r.

Blind unbelief is sure to err, And scan his work in vain. God is his own interpreter, And he will make it plain.

Apostles Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only-begotten Son, our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy, universal Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen. How Are You and I Saved?

Forgiveness Because “God Meant It For Good!”

Genesis 50:15-21

  1. 1.Focusing on God’s sovereignty, helps us overlook and forgive others!

2. Forgiveness must be expressed by our attitude towards others!
