So many people gave of their time and skills to make this possibleThis was set up to be a ministry, but also to help facilitate ministry within the churchMinistry story from the thrift storeLast week, a lady came into the thrift storeOur team (Ginny) saw her and saw there was more there than a customer. She asked for a Bible and Ginny gave her one, prayed with her and invited her back the next day.She returned the next day and Ginny was able to hear more of her storyShe said she had a dream that she needed help and just started driving and ended up at our thrift store. She didn’t know it was a church storeShe was invited to the Wednesday morning women’s discipleship group and has begun attendingNow, because of the heart of our thrift store volunteers, she is getting connected and beginning the journey of growing as a discipleOur thrift store is profitableNumerous people are serving there and finding a way to serve othersMany people are coming to church in part because of the thrift storeWe need to recognize the value of the thrift storeWe are in a building projectMany churches begin building projects, and their ministries have to take a step back so they can afford a building. The thrift store will enable us to continue in all of our ministries the vision to reach the world for Jesus and be able to still afford moving into a buildingThose who volunteer there are engaging in ministry, but also serving in a way for others to engage into ministry. When you go there to drop off donations, or go shopping thank every person you see there.Their service, your donations, your purchases are helping us reach the world for Jesus.Building ProjectI understand there has been some silence over the winter regarding our progress toward a new buildingThis isn’t because nothing was happening, rather there was a lot of pieces being moved around the table that have finally found their place over the last month.FinancingWe had been rejected last fall for our loanShopped around, then TSF has come back to the table with a competitive rateSite developmentWetland managementTimelineWe were able to develop a timelineEnd of March— Wetland permit expected completionEnd of March— Conditional approval for financingMonth of April—Civil Engineer DrawingsMonth of April— Construction DrawingsEnd of April-May— Subcontractor Bidding (3-4 week bidding period)May to early June— Building Permit ApplicationMay to early June— Subcontractor Contract SigningEarly June— Construction Start (Ditch Filling Celebration)Early June 2026-March 2027— ConstructionMarch 2027-April 2027— Prepare to Move InApril 2027-May 2027— Target OpeningThis may all be new information to you, so we will be working to rebuild our Building a Legacy page on the website to add the timeline, photos and other information as it becomes available. This leads to communication. A couple of weeks ago, we sent out a newsletter with some of this information on it.If you did not receive the email, I have a couple of steps for you:Every time I send out an email, there are people who say they didn’t get it.Please fill out an Information Card and make a note on there to confirm your email address is correct in the communication systemThey are sent out to the heads of households. If you didn’t get one, check your husbands email. He probably did get it and it was ignored. We are working on other communication strategies to ensure everyone who wants the information knows when it is available and where to find it.This pause has been a blessing. It hasn’t been a super smooth road, but God has shown Himself to be faithful. If we had built as we were prepared to build last year, we would be in big trouble right nowWe learned a ton going through this winter and God has allowed us to learn some really important things and prepare to begin this process with a means of maintaining ministry while building.FinancialsI’m going to briefly give you the BIG PICTURE financial snapshot from the end of 20252025 Financials:2025 Total Income $830,997.112025 Total Expenses $579,847.07Net Operating Income $251,150.042025 Building Fund Contributions:$250,414.73Bank Balances:Operating Accts (inc. I’m issuing a challengeWe need to become fishers of men.It is open fishing season for life groupsA sign-up sheet will not build a relational foundation for this churchYou meeting people and hunting for people to connect to your group will build the foundation. We are a friendly church. But, we cannot simply remain friendly. We must be relational.ConclusionWe exist to reach the world for Jesus, one person at a timeTake questionsMake elders available
