Confession of Our Christian Faith

Pastor: What are God’s works of providence?

Congregation: God’s works of providence are the holy, wise, and powerful acts by which He preserves and governs all His creatures, and all their actions.

Pastor: What special act of providence did God exercise towards man when he was first created?

Congregation: When God had created man, He made a covenant with Him that He should live and enjoy all the benefits of creation, but that he would die if he forsook the obedience that comes from faith. God commanded him not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and thus forsake his childlike dependence upon God for all things.

Pastor: Did our first parents continue in the glad obedience for which they were created?

Congregation: No. Desiring to be like God, our first parents forsook the obedience of faith, ate of the forbidden tree, sinned against God, and fell from the innocence in which they were created.

Pastor: What is sin?

Congregation: Sin is transgression of the revealed will of God which teaches that we are to act in perfect holiness from a heart of faith to the glory of God.

Review the Constitution with Us

At our congregational meeting this past Sunday, it was agreed upon that it would be a good idea for us to read through our current constitution to better understand the identity of our church family. In better understanding our church family's identity, we will be better prepared to plan for our future and for our next pastor.

Though presented to the church board, it has neither been approved nor recommended for a vote.

Let's continue to get ready for this year's Operation Christmas Child shoebox packing party. For August, we're looking for donations of school supplies. You can drop your donation off in the basket in the lobby.
