Confession of Our Christian Faith

Pastor: What offices does Christ perform as our Redeemer?

Congregation: Christ, as our Redeemer, performs the offices of a prophet, of a priest, and of a king, both in His condition of humiliation and exaltation.

Pastor: How does Christ perform the office of a prophet?

Congregation: Christ performs the office of a prophet in revealing to us, by His Word and Spirit, the will of God for our salvation.

Pastor: How does Christ perform the office of a priest?

Congregation: Christ performs the office of a priest by one offering Himself as a sacrifice to satisfy divine justice, and to reconcile us to God; and by making continual intercession for us before God.

Pastor: How does Christ perform the office of a king?

Congregation: Christ performs the office of a king in subduing us to Himself, in ruling and defending us, and in restraining and conquering all His our enemies.

Review the Constitution with Us

At our recent congregational meeting, it was agreed upon that it would be a good idea for us to read through our current constitution to better understand the identity of our church family. In better understanding our church family's identity, we will be better prepared to plan for our future and for our next pastor.
