Member Spotlight
If you want to be a part of the member spotlight or want to see that someone is recognized please grab a questionnaire at the connection center table and return it to the church office or let Tammy know who you would like to see be recognized.
Please don’t be shy, YOU ALL are an important part of what makes WS so special.
They are not ALL personal questions. If there is a question you don’t want to answer leave it blank. We would like to recognize the Hands and Feet of Jesus here at West Side UMC.
Giving Balances for 2025
Each year we send a copy of your giving for the year in late September or early October, to help prepare you for Consecration Sunday. I apologize; I have not had the time to print and send them yet. Pastor Steve is working on a letter and Stewardship Sermon Series later this month. I will send a copy of your statements with this letter. Reminder, I am the financial secretary and the only one that inputs and sees these figures. Tammy
Boxes
WS Missions is in need of paper boxes. Please drop them off at the doors at the HUB. Thank you SO much.
Prayer Requests
Pastor announced that we would be using prayer papers in the pews prior to the Worship Service and an usher would collect them and give to the Pastor to include in the prayers of the people. You can find yellow papers with Prayer Request written across the top. Also, if you know of someone on Long-Term Concerns that can or should be taken off, please contact the church office. Thank you.
God’s Cupboard
For the month of October, God's Cupboard is asking for:
· Knorr’s Pasta Sides & Rice Sides any flavors
· Packets (4oz) of Great Value instant mashed potatoes
God’s Cupboard purchased the Great Value brand. Thank you for the food items given for the month of September.
With funding being low, we appreciation the WS Congregation giving.
There is a bin at the Connection Center for you to place them in.

Pies are still needed for Thursday, October 23 for the Chicken & Biscuit take-out dinner. Please sign up at the Connection Center. Thank you so much!!!
Bulletin Boards
The new fall bulletin boards are ready for your favorite scriptures. Please take a moment to “FALL in Love with the Scriptures” and share them with your church family! There was a leaf in the bulletins last week, there is a brown leaf dish FULL of leaves on the round-back table, please take a minute to write your favorite scripture down and put it in the offering plate. I will add them to the bulletin boards as I get them. Help yourself, we have boards to fill!
HUB Updates
The HUB is collecting:

Mission/Service Opportunity
It’s time to get out there in the community and serve the people and let them know who West Side UMC is!

All Saints Sunday
November 2, 2025
As part of our All Saints’ Day worship service, we will remember our loved ones who have gone on to glory in Christ.
Those who have passed away since last year’s All Saints’ Day observance (November 3, 2024) will be commemorated as part of the reading of names during worship along with a white carnation purchased by the church.
If you would like to remember another family member or friend, regardless of their date of death, you may purchase a white carnation ($3.00 each) in their memory and/or submit a photo of your loved one to be included as part of the worship service.
A special bulletin insert will include the names of those who donated and those who are being remembered.
Please complete the form below and submit it (along with payment for carnations) in the offering plate or to the church office before Monday, October 20.
