    The apocalypse
    the unveiling of Jesus
    we see Jesus as the faithful witness - He is the representation of God the Father
    the first born of the dead - because Jesus rose from the dead we will also at our time
    Ruler of the kings of earth— the stone cut out of the mountain that destroyed the statue
    Redeemer — Because of Love Jesus was sent by the Father to be a sacrifice for sin. He made us to be a kingdom of priests to the world
    so now we will see Jesus when He returns to earth
    before we do that lets see what Daniel saw in his vision
    Daniel 7:9–12 LSB
    “I kept looking Until thrones were set up, And the Ancient of Days was seated; His clothing was like white snow And the hair of His head like pure wool. His throne was ablaze with fire, Its wheels were a burning fire. “A river of fire was flowing And coming out from before Him; Thousands upon thousands were attending Him, And myriads upon myriads were standing before Him; The court sat, And the books were opened. “Then I kept looking because of the sound of the great boastful words which the horn was speaking; I kept looking until the beast was killed, and its body was destroyed and given to the burning fire. “As for the rest of the beasts, their dominion was taken away, but an extension of life was given to them for an appointed season of time.
    these empires are standing before God and being judged
    especially the last which is the empire of the antichrist
    He will be dealt with at the return of Jesus to this planet
    Daniel 7:13–14 LSB
    “I kept looking in the night visions, And behold, with the clouds of heaven One like a Son of Man was coming, And He came up to the Ancient of Days And came near before Him. “And to Him was given dominion, Glory, and a kingdom, That all the peoples, nations, and men of every tongue Might serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion Which will not be taken away; And His kingdom is one Which will not be destroyed.
    Jesus is returning

    With The Clouds

    First we need to set this apart from the rapture
    1 Thessalonians 4:14–17 LSB
    For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.
    some want to put these together
    the return of Jesus and the rapture of the Church because of the wording of the clouds
    the rapture we are going to meet in the clouds of the sky out of sight of the world
    we will be caught up. just like Paul tells us what happened to him in
    2 Corinthians 12:2 LSB
    I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a man was caught up to the third heaven.
    snatched away
    to be with Jesus and be ushered into Heaven
    but we see the return of Jesus will be with the clouds
    V 7 He is coming with the clouds
    Daniel says the clouds of Heaven
    these are no ordinary clouds
    again we have to go back to the Old testament to see what is meant here
    Exodus 13:21 LSB
    And Yahweh was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day to guide them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them light, that they might go by day and by night.
    Exodus 14:19 LSB
    Then the angel of God, who had been going before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from before them and stood behind them.

    So it happened on the third day, when it was morning, that there were thunder and lightning flashes and a thick cloud upon the mountain and a very loud trumpet sound, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled.

    Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of Yahweh filled the tabernacle. And Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had dwelt on it, and the glory of Yahweh filled the tabernacle.

    “And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.
    these are power clouds
    magnificent fire clouds
    another mention of clouds in Hebrews is the Great cloud of witnesses
    and who were these? the ones of the Old Testament who were described wit much faith
    so when will these believers of the Old Testament be raptured?
    Daniel 12:1–2 LSB
    “Now at that time, Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will stand. And there will be a time of distress such as never happened since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. “And many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to reproach and everlasting contempt.
    at the end of the tribulation
    will these saints come back with Jesus? to inhabit Jerusalem with Jesus?
    so picture this
    Jesus on a white Horse leading His Church on their white horses coming from Heaven
    We now have the cloud of the Glory and majesty of God
    and the cloud of Old Testament saints being displayed also in the sky
    what a majestic procession with Jesus in the center
    the rapture no on the earth will see anything except the people now missing
    the return of Christ..
    V 7
    every eye will see Him all over the world
    the tribulation is about over
    the Israelites have been persecuted worse than the Holocaust
    and they see their Messiah
    Zechariah 12:10–11 LSB
    “And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn. “In that day there will be great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the plain of Megiddo.
    all of the earth will mourn
    the tribes of Israel who are still alive
    the peoples of the nations who have not put their faith in him for salvation
    they will mourn because of upcoming judgement of God on them
    V 8
    God is at the beginning, before time
    God will be at the end after time
    God is at the beginning of this book of Revelation
    He is also at the end
