  • Introduction:
When we come to church to worship, singing is usually a part of the service. It might seem like a peculiar thing to go somewhere and sit in pews and sing, but it should be something that flows naturally out of our heart.
    Pastor Martyn Lloyd-Jones said this:
‘But how can I make melody in my heart?’ asks somebody. ‘I don’t feel like singing.’ My dear friend, consider him till you do!. Singing to the Lord, 58
David Martyn Lloyd-Jones (Welsh Preacher and Writer)
The longer we consider the Lord the more it will drive us to sing to Him.
    He went on to say:
In this world we are simply in a kind of singing rehearsal. We are all just being prepared for the mighty festival of music and song that takes place in heaven. Singing to the Lord, 60
David Martyn Lloyd-Jones (Welsh Preacher and Writer)
Tonight we are going to take a look at Psalm 66. In this psalm, the Bible gives us good reason to sing praise to the Lord.
    Psalm 66:1–4 ESV
1 Shout for joy to God, all the earth; 2 sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise! 3 Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you. 4 All the earth worships you and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name.” Selah
