WELCOME GUESTS!

We love guests at HBC and appreciate you being with us today. Our prayer is that you will find a warm, friendly welcome and that you receive a blessing from God’s Word as you worship with us today. When you have the opportunity please fill out a guest card to let us know a little more about you. Just drop it in the offering plate or give it directly to Pastor Tim after the service.

Romans 1:16

Missionary Update

Our missionary update this month is on Brandon & Beth Fischer, our missionaries to Huslia, AK.

“The longest day of the year has come and gone! We can expect temperatures down into the single digits in less than 100 days, but for now we are enjoying summer!

The month began with a big memorial potlatch for 5 members of the community who had passed away in recent years. We have two more of these potlatches scheduled before the year is over. The event was quite large with many families and friends of the deceased from outside of Huslia attending. This was the first event since covid that nonresidents were welcome to attend. The potlatch kept all the village of Huslia busy for 4 days as people traveled in by boat and plane, meat and berries were collected and passed out, and food was prepared in traditional ways to eat together in the evenings. There were also speeches given where people talked about those that had passed followed by native dancing and singing.”
