Our missionary update this month is on Brandon & Beth Fischer, our missionaries to Huslia, AK.

“This summer’s subsistence fishing has been restricted. The salmon numbers are low this year which will greatly limit fishing opportunities for people to tap into that resource to feed their families and for those with dog teams to feed their dogs. All other fish species are open for harvest. Summer is when people travel to Alaska. Not only do tourists come to experience the midnight sun, but also interns looking into fulltime ministry. We had the opportunity to meet a young married couple on such a journey. Before coming to Huslia for two short days they helped out at a Bible camp in southern Alaska for a few weeks. From Huslia they went to another village and will have been to four villages by the end of their three-month internship.

They are both pi-lots/mechanics and are seeking how the Lord may use them in the future. They were also our first visitors since covid restrictions were set in place. It was a blessing for our family to have like-minded believers in our home. Pray that wherever the Lord leads them, and all of us for that matter, that we would be sensitive to His calling and have an attitude of servanthood.”
