Prove the Word

Proverbs 22:6 King James Version
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Are you familiar with the hymn “Tis so Sweet”? The chorus says, “Jesus, Jesus how I trust Him, how I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er. Jesus, Jesus precious Jesus. Oh for grace to trust Him more.” It’s that part- how I’ve proved Him over and over. Do you realize that everytime you work the Word you prove Jesus? Everytime you walk in faith and see the manifestation of God you prove Jesus. You prove that He is powerful. You prove that He is faithful. As we live out His Word, we prove Him to the world. We don’t need a well crafted argument. We just need to live as the Body of Christ. We need to do what the Word says and get what the Word says we will get as our outcome.
Today is my Daddy’s birthday. He would be 94 years old today. Daddy loved birthdays so much he would throw his own party, so I have to celebrate today. I choose to celebrate him by honoring the way he proved Jesus. I can say that he actually trained me up in the way I should go. My Daddy preached the Word to me. He lived the Word before me. He discussed the Word with me, and he told me what he saw in me. He encouraged the gifts of God in me. He pushed me to strengthen the skills God had given me. He cheered me on. My Daddy told me when I was quite young that I was going to get a PhD. He said it and he pushed me to be excellent in my schoolwork. He trained me up (of course my mother did a whole lot of work with that too, but it’s not her birthday), and I have not departed from it. If that scripture is true, then how many more should I test? Let’s bring the tithe to the storehouse and look for the windows of Heaven to open. Let’s believe and look for the signs to follow us. Let’s speak to the mountain and see it cast into the sea. Let’s believe in the Lord and be saved along with our whole household. The Word is true. It is proven. Grab hold to it with faith and don’t let go until you see the blessing that is promised for you.
Lord, thank You for the proven Word in my life. Thank You for watching over Your Word to perform it. Thank You that every promise is Yes! and Amen! Strengthen me, Holy Spirit to hold on to the Word. I want it proven over and over in my life. Help me to live by faith today. In Jesus’ Name...
